Introduction
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the primary cause of death worldwide, but it can be reduced by the adoption of lifestyle improvements in nutrition, physical activity, substance avoidance, stress management, and sleep. However, integration of lifestyle into cardiology practice remains inconsistent.[1,2] Additionally, physicians’ personal lifestyle behaviors influence their ability to counsel patients effectively. We assessed cardiologists’ perceptions, personal compliance, and clinical recommendations regarding lifestyle interventions.
