MCDOWELL CHILDREN'S THEATRE

McDowell Children's Theatre is a cost-free year-round community program for youth K-12th Grade. MCT creates transformative theatre experiences that spark curiosity, build confidence, and inspire young people to find their voice - onstage and behind the scenes.

THE BEYOND 1842 ORAL HISTORY PROJECT

MACA serves as the fiscal sponsor for the Beyond 1842 Project, a McDowell County Community Archive. The goal is to preserve an online space for the community to collect videos, maps, timelines, stories, and voices.

DIGITAL ARTS HISTORY ARCHIVE

Since 2023, McDowell Arts Council Association has partnered with our friends at  the North Carolina Digital Heritage Center to digitize many of our archival materials. This includes our scrapbook collection 1972-1999, booklets, posters, photo albums, and more. Click below to explore the collection, we are always collaborating to add new materials!
