Albedo

The Albedo map is the base color input that defines the diffuse color or reflectivity of the surface. In a PBR pipeline Color, BaseMap, Albedo and Diffuse are synonyms to mean the same thing. This map changes depending on how its used in the Metalness workflow or the Specular workflow.

Normal

Normal map is a specialized texture used in 3D graphics to create the illusion of intricate surface details and interact with lighting. Instead of representing colors, it encodes information about the orientation of surface normals at each point, allowing 3D engines to calculate how light interacts with the object's surface, resulting in a more realistic representation of bumps, crevices, and other fine details on 3D models.

Roughness

A roughness map helps control how shiny or rough a surface appears in a 3D object. It uses the luminance (light/dark areas) of an image to guide how light interacts with the surface, making lighter areas look smooth and reflective and darker areas look rough and less reflective. Glossiness and Roughness maps are the same texture, they just have inverted values depending on the workflow you use. Gloss for Specular workflow, and Roughness for Metalness.

Ambient Occlusion

Ambient occlusion adds shadows to occluded portions of objects with crevices, making them appear more realistic. At render time, this map is mixed with the albedo to describe how it reacts to light. The map is grayscale, with white picking up the majority of the light and darker parts being more in shadow and less light reactive.

Lotpixel's Users license grant members the ability to make use of the products for personal, educational, or commercial purposes as long as those purposes are in accordance with member’s license type and do not violate User Lisans for example:

  • You may not resell, redistribute, or repackage the assets
  • You may not use the assets in a competitive use case
  • You may not use the assets to create a logo or trademark of any kind (Previously copyrighted logos and trademarks can be rendered using our assets, but that version may not be then copyrighted).

Yes, any assets you purchase while your subscription is active can be downloaded and used even after your subscription ends. All use must still comply with the Asset Use & Licensing.

The highest resolution available is 8k. All 3D scans support 8K maps, and the max resolution for surfaces range between 1k – 2k – 4k – 8k depending on surface area. All surfaces have a area of 0.3m x 0.3m to 3m x 3m.

You may cancel your subscription anytime. Amount paid for the subscription is not refundable. You can use it until your credits run out.

As per your subscription plan, download credits are awarded on a monthly basis as per your billing cycle.
These credits can be used to download assets. Any unused credits are carried over in the next month provided you have an active subscription. If you run out of credits you can purchase a Extra Credits.
