Regular Monthly Meeting – April 8, 2026
Boilermakers Local 73 will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Local 73 Union Hall in Saint John, New Brunswick on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 7:00 PM.
This meeting will include the election of delegates to attend the 35th Consolidated Convention of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers.
At the regular meeting held on March 11, 2026, six (6) members were nominated to serve as delegates to the Convention. In accordance with the IBB Constitution, Local 73 is entitled to send seven (7) delegates to the Convention. BM/ST Jean LeBlanc and President Jaret Blyth will attend by virtue of their offices.
The membership will therefore elect five (5) delegates from the nominated members at the April 8 meeting. The sixth nominee will serve as the alternate delegate.
All members are encouraged to attend and participate in this important election.

Absentee Ballots for 35th Consolidated Convention

Requests for absentee ballots may be made in accordance with the guidelines set by the International. All requests must be submitted in writing to Secretary-Treasurer Jean Leblanc.
Requests for absentee ballots must be received no later than twenty (20) days prior to the election, which is March 19, 2026, for the election scheduled on April 8, 2026, in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Completed absentee ballots must be returned in accordance with the instructions provided with the ballot and must be received no later than ten (10) days prior to the election, which is March 29, 2026.
Full instructions regarding absentee ballots will be posted below.
All requests for ballots may be mailed or emailed. The request must be made to Jean Leblanc.

Submission of Proposals
IBB Convention 2026
The formal process for subordinate bodies—including each local lodge—to submit proposals. According to Article 2.9 of the Constitution, the International Secretary-Treasurer notifies all subordinate bodies no later than January 15 of a Convention year, instructing them to submit any proposed amendments. Each local must then submit their proposal in duplicate, and these proposals must be received by the International President no later than 45 days prior to the Convention's opening. This ensures that all proposals are reviewed and considered in a timely manner before the Convention. Information below.

- Content Requirements:
In your submission, please clearly indicate whether your proposal is:
• A new article, or
• An amendment to an existing article.
Additionally, please specify the article number you wish to change. - Review and Voting Schedule:
