Live from Lisbon 🎤 Today, 11th March, at the Deepwater Development Conference (MCEDD), Jason Brown shared how Tide Breaker is helping shift AI in subsea from isolated pilots to operational deployment. In our industry, the barrier to AI adoption isn’t data, compute, or even appetite for innovation. It’s the model. For too long, technology has been built in separation from the people who need to rely on it offshore. Tide Breaker is designed to change that by bringing operators and technology providers together to co-create solutions. With two start-ups, Fathom Group and VOLTQUANT, already working with subsea datasets and first commercial deployments targeted for later this year, Tide Breaker is well underway. The programme is building a connected Blue Digital Ecosystem where intelligence is shared, validated and strengthened across portfolios, rather than developed in isolation. We’re underway! Yesterday, we officially kicked off the next stage of Tide Breaker with Cohort One, Fathom Group and VOLTQUANT This next phase is Development & Validation running until June, and it is the engine room of the programme. It is where ideas are sharpened into tools that can perform in the field. Over the coming months, our start-ups will build and refine their solutions inside the sandbox environment, working with real data, real infrastructure and real constraints. At the same time, Operators will validate those solutions under live-like conditions, ensuring what is developed is operationally fit. This is what Tide Breaker is all about.
