About us

The SelectUSA program facilitates job-creating international business investment into the United States and raises awareness of the critical role that foreign direct investment plays in the U.S. economy. SelectUSA helps global companies of all sizes find the information they need to make decisions, connect to the right people at the state and local level, and navigate the federal regulatory system. SelectUSA also assists U.S. economic development organizations to compete globally for investment by providing information, a platform for international marketing, and high-level advocacy. SelectUSA organizes the SelectUSA Investment Summit, the highest-profile event in the United States designed to facilitate foreign investment by connecting thousands of global business leaders, economic development organizations, investment service providers, and industry experts to move U.S. expansion plans forward. SelectUSA is a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration.

Here’s how it unfolded: 🎙️ On the main stage: Today’s plenaries brought together U.S. governors and business leaders for sharp insights on the strategic sectors and industrial momentum shaping America’s next era. 📣 Making waves: Cilcare, Grupo Bimbo, and 11 India-based companies turned heads with major investment announcements. 🗺️ Charting a path forward: Attendees explored sessions covering critical industries, cybersecurity, federal contracts, SelectUSA services, and more, equipping international businesses with the tools and knowledge to thrive in the U.S. marketplace. 🎉 A night to remember: State and Local Night brought the Exhibition Hall to life, and a special celebration of America’s 250th birthday honored the people and talent that have drawn global investment to these shores for generations.   • Night three of the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit closed out in style as the Exhibition Hall came alive for State and Local Night. 🧑🍳 Economic development organizations from across the country opened the door to what makes their corner of America special, introducing international business leaders to the people, the heritage, and opportunities that define each community. More than 50 U.S. states, territories, and localities brought their best to the floor tonight. A heartfelt thank you to every partner and EDO who made the evening such a vibrant celebration — the energy in the Exhibition Hall said it all!

We were honored to hear remarks from Kevin Hassett, Director of the National Economic Council, and Ambassador Rick Switzer, Deputy United States Trade Representative, whose insights framed the conversation around America’s evolving role in global manufacturing. Bimbo Bakeries USA, America’s largest bakery company and maker of beloved brands including Entenmann’s and Sara Lee, will channel the investment into enhanced manufacturing capabilities, supply chain modernization, and product innovation — laying a strong foundation for job creation.     PR Jindal Group has announced an $87 million investment to expand its U.S. manufacturing footprint in Baytown, Texas and Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. The expansion includes a new state-of-the-art HFIW pipe facility and enhanced forming capabilities, strengthening domestic supply chains and supporting critical energy infrastructure. The new Baytown facility will produce 4.5"–14" OD pipe, create approximately 140 jobs, and integrate advanced manufacturing, coating, and finishing capabilities.
