A few more snaps from the inauguration ceremony at Bollatha Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, the fourth school adopted through Rootcode Foundation's year-long initiative. From meeting the students and teachers to seeing their excitement for what’s ahead, it was a meaningful start to our year-long journey together. Last Saturday was a special day for Rootcode Foundation as we officially inaugurated our fourth school adoption project at Bollatha Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, Ja-Ela, together with its principal, teachers, students, parents, and our Rootcoders. With this adoption, we begin a year-long commitment to the school. Over the coming months, we will be conducting monthly full-day technology sessions, building a dedicated computer lab, rolling out our Smart School software, hosting teacher training workshops, and awarding scholarships to support students in their academic journeys. Each school we adopt becomes part of our growing Foundation journey, and we are excited to work closely with the Bollatha Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya community to create practical, lasting impact through technology education. We recently visited Koralaima Soyza Vidyalaya for our final school visit of the year, bringing our year-long initiative to a close. Like every visit before, our team conducted engaging ICT teaching sessions for the students before saying our goodbyes. We’ll truly miss our monthly visits and the infectious joy of the students, but we’re also excited for the year ahead as we continue spreading our impact to even more underprivileged schools and students. Swipe to check out a few snaps from the day!

Throwback to the teacher training sessions conducted by our team at Koralaima Soyza Vidyalaya this year. At Rootcode Foundation, long-term impact is a key focus, which is why we conduct dedicated training workshops for teachers as part of every project. This year, our sessions focused mainly on the usage of AI tools to make teaching easier and more effective, along with hands-on training on smartboards and digital classroom tools. We also spoke with the teachers about how they can better guide students toward future careers in the tech industry. By empowering teachers with these skills, we hope technology continues to be used meaningfully in classrooms long after our projects are wrapped up.

During our latest visit to Koralaima Soyza Vidyalaya, we conducted an interactive Robotics and IoT workshop session to help students explore the world of emerging technologies. Using STEM Learning Kits provided to us by MAGICBIT, our team guided students through hands-on activities and demonstrations, giving them the chance to see how robotics and smart devices work in everyday life. Swipe to see a few highlights from the session!
