Devon Ackerman shared thisIR pros and the entire cyber insurance ecosystem need to sit and consider the impact of Claude Mythos. It autonomously discovered 1000s of 0-day vulnerabilities across every major OS and browser. It chained kernel exploits. It escaped sandboxes. It did things that would have required a team of elite researchers weeks to accomplish, and it did them overnight. This is a seismic shift to the threat landscape. I keep coming back to: If AI can discover and exploit vulnerabilities at this scale and speed, the window between exposure and exploitation just… collapses. The incident volume implications alone are staggering. And that raises questions the industry hasn't fully grappled with yet, not even after MOVEIt or Log4Shell. Can your IR firm actually respond when ten of their clients get hit in the same week? Maintaining the same level of accuracy across all engagements? What does their bench look like? What does their surge protocol look like? Does your retainer guarantee hours, or does it guarantee people? For insurers: how do you price a risk environment where the historical loss data is about to become obsolete? At what point does "IR preparedness" become a hard underwriting gate rather than a checkbox on an application? Orgs across the board, including corporates, law firms, insurance carriers and brokers - that treat IR preparedness as a strategic asset rather than a compliance exercise are going to look very different from those that don't. It'll be a bumpy ride. How ready are you? LevelBlue is.

CLAIM: Forensic OSINT can't download Internet Archive videos. FALSE. You're just clicking the wrong link. (Don’t worry, so did we the first time.) Archive.org loves to trick investigators with an embedded player that isn’t the real source file. So if you attempt to download the video on this page, it will often fail. In our latest guide, we show you exactly where to scroll, what to open, and how to generate a proper Evidence Continuity Report every time. 🔗 Link to the article in the first comment below. #OSINT #ForensicOSINT #InternetArchive #DigitalEvidence

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has confirmed an isolated cybersecurity incident involving a server at its New York Field Office used for digital evidence processing. 👉 https://lnkd.in/g8zqaSeP According to reports citing Justice Department documents, the February 2023 event involved unauthorized access to a server in a forensic lab environment connected to investigations involving child exploitation cases. Some of the files on the system reportedly included materials linked to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. The FBI described the event as an “isolated cyber incident”, stating that the unauthorized access was restricted and the network was secured once the activity was detected. Authorities have not disclosed which specific files were accessed or confirmed whether any data was removed. The incident highlights a broader challenge for organizations handling sensitive investigative data: secure digital evidence processing environments and maintaining strict operational safeguards during complex forensic workflows. As the investigation continues, the case underscores the importance of: • Strong internal cybersecurity protocols • Secure handling of digital evidence systems • Continuous monitoring of investigative infrastructure 💬 What’s your perspective? How can organizations strengthen security around systems that handle sensitive investigative or legal data? #Cybersecurity #DataSecurity #DigitalForensics #Infosec #CyberRisk

ForenScope technologies 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 in gun crimes in 2021! 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁: In 2021, the New Jersey State Police Crime Scene Investigations Unit procured ForenScope contactless fingerprint equipment made possible through grant funding. This equipment allows for the rapid visualization and capture of latent fingerprints and requires no powders, glue, chemicals, or dyes. The contactless capability prevents the possibility of contaminating or destroying delicate DNA evidence. After conducting validation testing of the ForenScope technology, the Forensic & Technical Services Section implemented its use into the Crime Gun Protocol which allowed for quicker processing, improved capability to capture latent fingerprints and a higher likelihood of recovering DNA from crime gun evidence. Upgrade to ForenScope for 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹-𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲, and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 in crime guns and other cases! You can reach the full document here: https://lnkd.in/gJVxk8e6

We have arrived at a point where even the tools of surveillance need protection from crime. Security is all about layers. This cage represents target hardening, a core principle of situational prevention. This is behavioral conditioning through hardware. From Oscar Newman’s Defensible Space theory to Broken Windows, design influences behavior. This aligns with David Lyon’s theory of surveillance as social sorting — where even the surveillance infrastructure is tiered, protected, and guarded like capital. https://alfredkinoti.com/ #security #securitymanagement #crime #Investigations #compliance

Most security reports are just expensive noise. You show the Board a graph of patrol hours or incidents logged, and they see a cost center, not a strategy. That’s the Trust Gap. Data without governance is just a pile of numbers. If your metrics don’t translate into risk reduction or operational certainty, you’re failing the C-suite. Operators know the truth: Security isn't about how many times a guard walked the perimeter; it's about whether that perimeter actually holds when the threat evolves. Stop feeding the Board data they can’t use. Start showing them strategic risk visibility. Flip the script from commodity coverage to real governance. Is your current security reporting providing clarity, or just cover? Let’s fix the gap. Contact us at sales@greyshieldgroup.com. #GreyShield #SecurityGovernance #RiskManagement #PhysicalSecurity
