Many see nutrition programs as simple acts of charity. But the data tells a different story: Nutrition is one of the highest-yield investments for global development. As shown in our latest report, every $1 invested in nutrition returns $16 in economic value. By protecting the first 1,000 days of life, we aren't just filling plates—we are building the foundation for future leaders, improving academic performance by 20%, and breaking the cycle of poverty. At World Concern, we believe that when a child is well-nourished, an entire nation’s economy has the chance to thrive. Swipe through to see the "Domino Effect" of nutrition and why this remains our core focus. Let’s move beyond relief toward lasting, self-reliant futures. #WorldConcern #MissionToTheMargins #GlobalDevelopment #Nutrition #SocialImpact

About us
World Concern is a Christian humanitarian organization boldly following Jesus to some of the world’s most remote and fragile places. Since 1955, we have sought to live out the Gospel by serving families facing extreme poverty, isolation, exploitation, disaster, and trauma—because we believe each person is created and deeply loved by God. Every day, our teams help families access clean water, food, nutrition, education, livelihood opportunities, protection, and emergency relief—all done in the love of Christ and pointing people to Him as the source of lasting transformation. We listen first, walk alongside communities, equip local leaders, and build solutions that endure. By addressing root causes—not just immediate needs—we support families as they find hope, strengthen resilience, and discover their God-given potential.

A savings group of women changed three lives in rural Kenya. Here's what that actually looked like. - Nyambura's daughter collapsed in a medical crisis 30 miles from home. No money. No phone. No way to get there. While she was in the ambulance, the women in her savings group had already mobilized — pooling their emergency fund so her daughter could continue treatment. That daughter just finished high school. - Salma needed a goat. She had KSh 30 — half of what it cost. Her savings group covered the rest. Today, her herd is growing, her family drinks their own milk, and she no longer relies on daily hustle to feed her children. - Nabulu was a woman her community kept asking to lead — even though leadership in her village belonged to men. When World Concern introduced savings groups, she didn't just join. She guided other women to health services, changed how babies were born in her village, and built a small livestock business that now pays her children's school fees. These three women live in different villages and face different struggles. But they found the same lifeline: a savings group that became their safety net. World Concern doesn't just deliver aid and leave. We train communities, establish savings groups, and build the systems that let women like Salma, Nyambura, and Nabulu create change from the inside out. The goal is always the same: make ourselves unnecessary. When the worst happened, the nets held. Because they were built to. This is what World Concern's Savings Group program does. Not charity. Infrastructure. The kind that multiplies. 🔗 Learn more: https://shorturl.at/Xw8CG #WorldConcern #WomenEmpowerment #CommunityDevelopment #SavingsGroup #SocialImpact #GlobalDevelopment #FaithInAction

This Easter, we’re reminded of why we do what we do. At World Concern, we work in some of the hardest places on earth—where hunger, displacement, and disaster are daily realities. It’s not easy work. And on the most challenging days, we return to the same foundation: a belief that every life has immeasurable worth, and that hope is never truly lost. That’s the Easter message. Death does not have the final word. Neither does poverty. Neither does despair. We see this truth in the faces of children who were once malnourished, now thriving. In communities rebuilding after disaster. In families who may feel forgotten by the world—but are never forgotten by God. This Resurrection Sunday, we’re deeply grateful for every partner, donor, and supporter who shares this hope with us. Our faith fuels our commitment to see every life transformed. He is risen—and because of that, we keep going. 🙏 Happy Easter!

A legacy of faith that began in 1949 and continues through World Concern today. We are honored to carry this mission forward and witness how God continues to transform lives. Grateful to be part of the CRISTA family!
CRISTA’s story began in 1949 with one simple yes to Jesus. More than 75 years later, that yes continues to ripple across communities and generations. Here’s to saying YES to Jesus for the next 75 years and beyond! 🙌

At World Concern, we believe transformed teams transform communities. Thank you, Bryl Zenarosa, RN, CLDP, CPHR, for helping our leaders grow in understanding and love. 🌍
𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆, 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂. That’s where most teams struggle. In Makati, I facilitated a 𝗕𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 for global leaders of World Concern. DISC helped us understand people better. But the real shift? 👉 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀. Because understanding behavior is helpful. But transformed hearts create real impact. And sometimes, one moment of understanding can ripple far beyond the room. Thank you, Project Purpose Team !

Strengthening healthcare systems is more effective when we work together. We’re honored to partner with International Health Partners and Project HOPE to deliver essential medicines and hope to communities in the Horn of Africa. #WorldConcern #HealthcareAccess #Partnership #HornofAfrica
IHP is working to provide healthcare across the Horn of Africa and Ethiopia as the region continues to face climate-induced emergencies. IHP continues to provide essential medicines and supplies, multivitamins, and treatments for neglected tropical diseases, including intestinal worms. Through partnerships with Project HOPE and World Concern we are bridging the gap to strengthen healthcare systems. Find out more about our response to crises in 2026 here: https://lnkd.in/e9hAKixr

Resilience in Action: One Year After the Myanmar Earthquake 🇲🇲 Recovery is not merely about rebuilding structures; it is about restoring the agency and dignity of a community. As we mark one year since the devastating earthquake in Myanmar, our ongoing work stands as a testament to the power of being present for the long haul. Even while facing their own displacement, our World Concern Myanmar staff mobilized immediately to serve over 25,000 people with life-saving assistance. Key pillars of our sustainable recovery efforts include: - Localized Leadership: We partner with community teams in Mandalay to help them develop and lead their own recovery action plans. - Integrated Health Services: We are strengthening local health systems through trained volunteers and mobile clinics—ensuring long-term wellness for mothers like Ma San San Mu. - Dignified Shelter: Our teams construct transitional housing that prioritizes safety and privacy for displaced families, particularly for vulnerable women and girls. We believe that staying present long after the initial relief response is what transforms a crisis into a foundation for future hope. 🤝 We are also deeply grateful for our partnership with Tearfund. Together, we are maximizing our impact and reaching the most remote communities with essential support and long-term hope. 🔗 Read the full impact article: https://lnkd.in/gyskKg6d #HumanitarianAid #GlobalDevelopment #Myanmar #WorldConcern #Resilience #NGO #SocialImpact #DisasterResponse
