Today in Rome, we celebrated a historic moment for Wizz Air: welcoming our 500 millionth passenger since our first flight in 2004, right at Rome Fiumicino Airport, on the Rome–Yerevan route. Rome holds a special place in our story, and we’re proud to mark this milestone by confirming our 16th aircraft based at Fiumicino, further strengthening our long-term commitment to the Italian capital. What does this mean? ✈️ New routes and more frequencies ✈️ 75 destinations served from Rome in 2026 ✈️ More jobs and continued investment ✈️ Even more affordable travel opportunities for our customers From welcoming passengers with Golden Tickets to announcing a major network expansion, today was about celebrating the trust of 500 million travellers who chose to fly with us, and looking ahead to what’s next. Introducing WIZZ Class: Your Personal Space Upgrade At Wizz Air, we’re always thinking about how to make flying better tailored for our passengers' needs. That's why we're excited to introduce WIZZ Class, a new service designed for those who want a bit more space and comfort, without the price tag of traditional business class. Starting in January 2026, WIZZ Class will be available on selected routes to and from Budapest, Bucharest Otopeni, Warsaw, London (Luton & Gatwick), and Rome. Here’s what you can expect when you book a WIZZ Class seat: 💺 More Space – The middle seats (1B or 1E) in the first row will be automatically blocked to give you extra room to relax or get some work done. 🧃 Complimentary Drink & Snack – Enjoy a non-alcoholic beverage and a light snack on us.
