Today wraps up my first bit of parental leave from Glide for my second son, Remi. Feeling incredibly grateful to work for a company that values family, and offers generous paid leave to every parent, birthing or not. I was deeply hands-on with Teddy and Gigi in their early months, and getting to be that kind of dad again for Remi has been wonderful. Working to catch up on all the goings on while I was away, and wow! A couple new, great hires, so many tickets closed (often more than were filed!), and the release of a full rebrand. Looking forward to getting back into the mix come Monday. #parentalleave #dadlife #workingdads #fintech #futureofwork

I can’t walk through the Glide office without hearing the words ‘Claude’ and 'Codex' a dozen times. This makes me happy. We’re building AI products for local financial institutions, so I need the entire team AI-pilled to understand the challenges and frustrations our customers go through when adopting AI. Despite what the AI influencers tell you, none of this is easy (though we do our best to make it that way for clients).

Last week, the Glide Implementations team held an AI hackathon. We spent the afternoon in groups of two building shareable Claude skills. One of my favorites? A test case generator for our clients. We'd been hearing feedback that our test cases weren't quite hitting the mark. Useful, but too generic and not reflective of how each client actually uses the platform. On our side, creating what we had took hours of work for each client. So Desarie Romo and Louisa Day built a skill that automatically generates tailored test cases based on each client's specific Glide configuration. No more one-size-fits-all, and we got hours back for our team. That hackathon officially gave me the AI bug. Since then, I've shipped a new shareable skill for my team every single day this week. Less friction on the time-intensive stuff. More time on what actually moves the needle for clients. Maybe this streak will last longer than my Duolingo streak. 🦉 I know I'm not the only one bitten by this bug. What skills or automations have you built that have genuinely changed how you work? I'd love to hear what's been the most impactful for your team. 👇

Pumped for this one – Dow Credit Union has chosen to partner with Glide, including them joining our advisory council! This was one of the most competitive processes we’ve been through, and DOW deserves a lot of credit for that. They’re ambitious, forward thinking, and always pushing the bar higher. A fun team to work with. It feels like talking to another startup. DOW will be partnering with Glide to power onboarding across all of their major surface areas - retail accounts, business accounts, specialty accounts and consumer lending. During the process, it became clear that DOW was looking for a team to grow with as this industry changes so rapidly. As part of that, they kept asking about best practices from other CUs and sharing what works well for them in return. It got to the point where I asked them to join our advisory council to help shape the future of the Glide product and be a permanent voice in that conversation. They said yes, and I’m thrilled they did. Huge thanks to Michael, Elton, and the entire team for your trust and partnership.

A couple weeks ago, I read a report from Plaid's CEO saying the most sophisticated use of fraud in 2026 will come from the attackers, not the defenders. Jamie Verdi has spent years thinking about this, and his take is surprisingly simple: - Document your losses. - Understand how you're getting beat. - Share that information with your partners. When everyone in the ecosystem learns together, the collective defense gets stronger. At Glide we're building out that network across our partners.

I've interviewed 100s of candidates for Glide and realized there are 4 things that don’t matter as much as people think: 1. Whether they've worked at a "big tech" company Everyone wants to talk about their time at Meta or Google. But we've built Glide from 0 to dozens of customers, ~50 employees, and a $15M Series A with a team that's mostly first-time employees or people who came from smaller companies. I'd rather hire someone who shipped a feature at a scrappy startup and saw it move the needle than someone who worked on 2% of a massive project at a FAANG company. Ownership mentality > logo on resume. 2. Their college degree Gautam A., Vishnu Chakroborty, and I went to schools in the Midwest (not Stanford or MIT). We started Glide right out of college as our first real job. Some of our best engineers are self-taught. Some of our best operators never worked at a startup before Glide. We hire based on how you think, not where you went to school. 3. Whether they know our industry When we started Glide, we learned by talking to hundreds of credit union leaders and understanding their problems deeply. I'd rather hire someone who's curious and willing to learn than someone who's been in fintech for 10 years but thinks they know everything. The best hires are the ones who ask "why" five times before accepting anything as given. Caveat - this does depend on the role. Industry knowledge matters more for our implementation team than our engineering team, for example. 4. How "polished" they are Our first office was a cramped NYC apartment where we lived together. We don't need people who are polished. We need people who can get their hands dirty and figure things out. Some of our best team members came in rough around the edges but had the right fire and learned fast. Scrappiness > polish. Always. _ We're constantly hiring across product, engineering, and GTM at Glide. If these ideas resonate & you want to help credit unions compete in a digital-first world, check out our open roles. Last week, I chatted with Jamie Verdi about what winning looks like in 2026 for Glide. Everything he said comes back to one thing: Helping our current customers win. When that happens, we can get them talking and learning from each. The wins compound, they start talking with folks who aren't yet our customers, and Glide keeps building our reputation for driving results. Our best sales pitch comes from our current clients and the results we drive for them.

Excited to announce Glide’s new website and brand today! Announcement posts are typically all fluff - so wanted to share the behind the scenes of the redesign. We chose Primary Studio & Nick Pattison, the same team behind Lovable and other AI companies, and the entire brand was built in less than 2 weeks powered by Midjourney. The final deliverable was really a set of logos and prompts we can apply to any medium. I can login to Midjourney right now and generate an infinite number of media assets all on brand, which is exactly what we did for the website. Every image you see was generated by those prompts, Midjourney, and the Glide team picking the perfect asset from 100s of options. At Glide, we think our website should be as beautiful as our product. Took a risk here with a bold design that makes Glide stand out in a sea of dull landing pages. Please check out the link in the comments and let us know your thoughts. And if you catch any mistakes or typos, blame Midjourney & Claude :)
