Recently, our client Echodyne announced a major near-term expansion of its advanced radar manufacturing capability, including a $40 million investment in a new 86,350-square-foot manufacturing facility in Washington State. This news comes in response to demand surging for its patented metamaterials electronically scanned array (MESA®) technology across Defense, Critical Infrastructure, Public Safety, Advanced Air Mobility and beyond. Echodyne joins a group of firms who are growing the United States manufacturing base by over $1 billion at the time this news was reported. "The new plant is designed to produce and ship more than 30,000 radars annually across product lines. The company said it expects to employ more than 200 workers when the facility reaches full capacity, with production scheduled to begin in summer 2026," reported Noi Mahoney, who covers cross-border trade, logistics, and supply chain for FreightWaves.
