We're delighted to be here at the New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) Annual Conference. A highlight for us was seeing our International Account Director, Susan Burke, speak on the panel “How AI is Reshaping the Tourism Industry.” The discussion focused on moving beyond the hype and into what’s actually happening on the ground, where AI is already delivering value for DMOs and tourism businesses, and where confidence (rather than capability) is often the biggest barrier to progress. Great to be part of such an important conversation and to hear how destinations across New York State are approaching AI.

Our team is enjoying being here at the 28th Annual Discover New England Summit & International Marketplace. Our International Commercial Director Karl Llewellyn was delighted to present a session yesterday on how to ignite Digital Transformation in your tourism operators, where he shared examples of best practices and case studies that we see deployed by businesses across the East Coast. If you are at the event, be sure to stop by and say hi to Karl!
An incredible kickoff to the 28th Annual Discover New England Summit & International Marketplace! It’s been great connecting with our New England partners and welcoming international colleagues and friends to Burlington. Vermont Tourism Hello Burlington Today’s Summit featured an inspiring lineup of speakers, including our own Executive Director Michele Cota, Tourism Economics, Brand USA and Expedia Group, along with a dynamic international media panel and engaging breakout sessions from Wheresight and Travel & Tourism Marketing Ltd (TTM). We’re excited to keep the momentum going as the Marketplace begins tomorrow! #discovernewengland #tourism #travel #DNESummit

Tourism has already changed, most destinations just haven’t caught up yet. AI is now shaping how travellers discover, compare, and choose destinations, often without ever visiting your website. If you’re responsible for destination growth, this is something you can’t afford to ignore. Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/dMeRj-6F

AI adoption in tourism looks strong but the reality is very different. 51% of businesses are experimenting with AI, yet only 8% have fully integrated it into how they operate, meaning most are stuck in the “tinkering” phase with no real impact.
