  • When people ask what our industry focus is, our answer is “most of them,” a contradiction of advice we give our clients to “be direct, be specific.” But it’s the beauty of the opportunities we have to work with founders who are inventing, building and growing in fintech, life sciences & biotech, climate, advanced computing, cybersecurity and martech. February is off to a quick start and we’re only halfway through: Levl, a platform powering global fiat and stablecoin payments, hit $1B annualized volume in 4 months and raised a $7M seed. Carlos Garcia has more on Fortune https://bit.ly/4qzjcnm MAXEX, the largest digital exchange for trading U.S. residential mortgage loans through a single centralized clearinghouse, announced a partnership with Tradeweb to expand the institutional marketplace for U.S. residential mortgages. https://bit.ly/4aMKWjQ Cav, the continuous cyber assurance company, trusted by government agencies and Fortune 500 enterprises launched Compliance OS™an agentic AI system to help high-reliability organizations achieve 100% compliance, 100% of the time. https://bit.ly/3Moun4y Trener Robotics (formerly T-ROBOTICS), an AI-powered platform for skilling robots used in manufacturing, raised $32m in Series A. Natalie Breymeyer at Axios has more here https://bit.ly/4kxUKkZ We feel privileged to work alongside such exceptional founders and teams. A huge thank you to our partners at SINK, the journalists who help us tell these stories, and the network of investors who connect us to these extraordinary founders.

  • Reprise's Greer Lynch joined #PipelineVisionaries to discuss effective marketing strategies and tactics for scaling enterprises. Refreshing to hear her take that even with an AI-first product that helps some of the biggest enterprise brands close deals with compelling software demos, creative storytelling is core to connecting with and winning over your target audiences. Kargo's $42M Series B is a demonstration of product market fit and perseverance. After raising its Series A in the go-go days of supply chain and logistics investing in 2022, the market retreated as ports opened up and supply and demand balanced. Under Sam Lurye's leadership, Kargo doubled down on its AI strategy and deployed its towers at the loading docks serving Fortune 500 enterprises, helping companies like Mercedes Benz and Wayne-Sanderson understand the exact status of their inventory. We’re thrilled to announce our $4.6M seed round led by Frontline Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator , 1984 Ventures, Liquid 2 Ventures, and BOOOM💥 . This year has been a rollercoaster. From dropping out of grad school for YC to signing customers and building a killer product. So many incredible learnings and experiences. Very grateful to be on this journey with my cracked cofounders: Bryan Guin, Moritz Bartusch, and Leander Peter . At Avallon AI (YC X25), we automate the repetitive claims work drowning TPAs and their partners: phone calls, emails, documents. The insurance industry is losing 400,000 workers by 2026. Our AI agents fill that gap. Massive thanks to our early customers for their trust and to our investors for their conviction. This funding lets us expand across more insurance lines and segments. We’re building AI for the real economy and we’re just getting started. If that fires you up and you love solving gnarly problems, we’re hiring in NYC. Link in comments.

LSI's The Lens September 2025 cover spotlights Murielle Thinard McLane and Terri Burke. The story highlights how the team leverages their extensive operating experience to support entrepreneurs reshaping healthcare. Murielle and Terri caught up with Tracy Schaaf at LSI USA, discussing Intuitive Venture’s differentiated  approach to backing healthcare innovators - from supporting companies like OrganOx in organ transplantation to investing in breakthrough therapies for respiratory health and cardiovascular disease. What drives Intuitive Ventures: -- Supporting founders tackling large unmet clinical needs -- Providing hands-on expertise alongside capital -- Building a portfolio focused on improving patient outcomes Many thanks to LSI for featuring Intuitive Ventures.

The September issue of The Lens just landed -- riding shotgun with me this morning to work. I’m biased, but it’s become a staple in my monthly reading -- not just for inspiration, but for actionable insights and an edge. This issue’s cover story shines on Intuitive Ventures and two leaders who embody what we strive to capture in The Lens: the ability to look around corners. Managing Partner Murielle Thinard McLane and Senior Partner Terri Burke bring deep operator experience and a history of anticipating trends, seeing a few steps ahead, and positioning for what’s next. Their track record - including their investment in the recent $1.5B OrganOx exit - shows how bold ideas, backed by disciplined capital and relentless focus, can win. But as you’ll read, Intuitive Ventures is about much more than exits. It’s about pairing capital with conviction, leveraging the Intuitive Surgical heritage to help founders accelerate innovation at the intersection of digital and physical patient care. We explore this concept of looking around corners in the lead article - and it’s why we believe The Lens is indispensable: giving readers the edge to spot early trends, access breakthrough deals first, learn from consistent winners, and capitalize on opportunities before the broader market even sees them. If you’re ready to see around more corners, join us and become a subscriber today: https://lnkd.in/epsHbbSA

  • It's an ambitious vision to change the world. With its 11th annual Change the World list out today, Fortune recognizes a diverse set of both Fortune 500 and smaller players making measurable impact. Special shout out to Semilla Nueva, included this year for their inspiring work combatting malnutrition and poverty with better corn -- a $5M investment delivered $15M in economic impact. Last year its high-yielding maize was planted by ~30,000 farmers in Guatemala that ultimately helped feed more than 1 million people, deliver a 76% rise in income for farmers and reduce climate-related crop losses by 54%. By 2030, Semilla Nueva plans to be in five African countries, reaching 100 million people. With a team led by Curt Bowen and partners like Rippleworks, we have no doubt this vision will be realized.
