Innovation on the show floor often comes down to the details that make field work faster and more efficient. Recently, at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, Knapheide showcased a lube truck equipped with the #UNDERHOOD40 air compressor by VMAC, demonstrating how integrated compressed air plays a critical role in supporting heavy equipment maintenance in the field. The UNDERHOOD40 delivers air power for pneumatic tools, tire inflation, and routine service tasks without interruption. Because the system installs directly under the hood, it frees up valuable cargo space and reduces overall truck weight, allowing operators to carry more fluids, tools, and equipment needed to keep machines running. For fuel and lube trucks servicing equipment across construction, mining, and infrastructure projects, having reliable compressed air on board helps crews complete preventative maintenance faster and minimize downtime. We had a special visitor hop through VMAC recently… and yes, the Easter Bunny delivered. 🐰🍫 Coworkers were surprised with chocolate eggs, a few laughs, and plenty of warm wishes to go around. It is always a good day when there is a little extra chocolate in the shop and even better when it brings smiles across the whole team. Celebrating Christina Larsen’s Career at VMAC. As VMAC prepares to celebrate 40 years of innovation in 2026, we are also preparing to mark the close of an extraordinary chapter in our own history. On April 2, 2026, Chris Larsen will officially retire from VMAC. Chris joined VMAC in 1997, in the company’s early days, starting part time on the production floor as an electrical assembler. At the time, VMAC was transitioning to building control boxes for what would become the highly successful UNDERHOOD® Air Compressor System. Chris quickly became an integral part of that evolution, assembling kits, improving organization, and standardizing processes that strengthened quality and efficiency across the board.
