Concrete doesn’t lie 🧱 It’s fast-paced, unforgiving, and all about sequencing. In that context, when pours run smoothly without any clarification requests from the jobsite, it reflects documentation that is clear, structured, and truly buildable. The crew can pick it up and run with it — no second-guessing, no gaps to fill. 📲Swipe the carousel below to see how we’re making this a field reality every day.

3D laser scanning gets a lot of attention as a tool in construction, and for good reason. One example from our portfolio is the stunning 261-room Ritz-Carlton Resort in Half Moon Bay, CA. Set atop a coastal bluff, it is closely monitored for soil erosion that could pose a risk to both guest safety and structural integrity over time. Using high-definition 3D laser scans, our Onsite QC team captured detailed data of the cliff face, the Ritz-Carlton building, and the multi-column support structure embedded within the terrain. We translated the scans into detailed 2D As-Built Line Drawings and compared them with datasets from previous years to identify signs of erosion or geological change. 🎯The outcome: 3D laser scanning enabled us to accurately and precisely capture site conditions while ensuring no disruption or damage to the facility or surrounding terrain. So yes — this technology’s current prominence is well-justified🔥 Discover the full story behind our work at the Ritz-Carlton here: [https://lnkd.in/dtQPKsyT]

The jobsite doesn't leave even a little room for trial and error, so the more certainty you can build into the process, the better ✔️ Onsite Quality Control is your shortcut to getting there. With VEC, support goes beyond the office-based planning and oversight — our Onsite QC team is right there on your construction site, working alongside your crews in real time. That means faster issue resolution, clearer communication, and immediate validation of work before minor issues escalate into costly rework. Ultimately, taking weight off construction teams’ shoulders 😌 📲Swipe to see exactly how we make this magic happen.

We are pleased to participate in the CA Infrastructure Symposium 2026 and even more proud to see our team helping lead the conversation. Our Founder & CEO, Shane Saltzgiver, will be serving as moderator for a technical session on Infrastructure and End-to-End Digital Delivery, bringing together industry leaders to explore how people, process, and technology come together in practice. Joining the panel, Oleg Osadchyi, VEC’s VP of VDC Operations, will be sharing his perspective alongside top experts in the field, covering practical AI, 4D planning, and scalable, real-world digital workflows. If you’re looking to go beyond adopting tools and start driving true project coordination, this is a session you won’t want to miss. 👉 Join us at the symposium and be part of the discussion. Wet utilities are the core infrastructure systems that manage and distribute water, including water supply and sewer systems, making high-quality wet utilities a smart, often critical investment! Why should wet utilities be a priority in any facility project? 🔷 Well-designed civil underground wet utilities deter flooding during heavy rainfall 🔷 Effective drainage systems hinder water accumulation & the risk of drowning 🔷 Properly maintained sewage systems prevent water contamination. VEC delivers high-quality civil underground wet utility solutions with: ✅ Advanced BIM to streamline design & construction ✅ Optimization on the go & RFI management ✅ Issue documentation and constant support ✅ Detailed Bill of Materials to ease your asset management. Check the design for wet utilities in the video below ⬇️ Do you have questions about how BIM boosts the safety & efficiency of wet utilities in construction? Every construction project brings its own early challenges. For VEC’s Senior Project Manager of Civil Underground, Jesus Chavez, one arrived in a single, candid line from a client: “I’m only using you because I have to.” With over six years of experience coordinating civil underground utilities for large-scale data centers, Jesus has worked alongside the industry’s most demanding clients. Still, that comment stood out. Not as the start of a difficult project, though, but as the defining moment that set a BIM skeptic on the path to becoming a true advocate. Curious how it all unfolded? Jesus tells all in our latest blog: “Earning Client’s Trust — One Project at a Time.” Catch the full story on our website: [https://lnkd.in/g7gDcNRD ]

No guesswork needed — they reveal what matters most in the very first questions they ask. Our seasoned Project Manager of Electrical BIM/VDC, Weston Gatt, shares an inside look at what’s top of mind for clients when it comes to the digital delivery of construction projects. 👉 📲Swipe to see one of the most common early-stage questions — and how Weston approaches it.

Fix issues in Revit — not in concrete. Too often, electrical contractors join the project after design is complete, and that’s where costly issues begin. Our latest article explores how combining BIM with early trade engagement flips the script, driving smarter coordination and smoother project delivery.
