【UOB Hong Kong appoints Cliff Law as Head of Corporate Banking】 UOB Hong Kong today announced the appointment of Mr Cliff Law as Head of Corporate Banking, with immediate effect, succeeding Mr Anthony Tse. Mr Law will lead the Bank’s corporate banking strategy and drive the continued growth of the franchise, while further strengthening UOB Hong Kong’s support for China–ASEAN business flows and enterprises with cross-border banking needs across the region. Cliff Law brings over two decades of banking experience across Hong Kong and Mainland China. Prior to joining UOB Hong Kong, he served as General Manager of Corporate Banking Division at a Hong Kong-headquartered bank. He also spent more than 20 years with a multinational bank, holding senior leadership roles across client coverage, loan syndications and financing solutions. His experience spans origination, structuring, underwriting and distribution of large scale China and cross-border transactions, supported by strong investor engagement and rigorous risk and compliance oversight. “As we deepen our focus on capturing China-ASEAN business opportunities, Cliff’s extensive experience across China, including Hong Kong, and his corporate banking expertise will strengthen our ability to support clients’ cross-border ambitions and connect them to growth opportunities across ASEAN through UOB’s regional network,” commented Adaline Zheng, CEO of UOB Hong Kong. Adaline also acknowledges Mr Anthony Tse for his contributions to UOB Hong Kong over a decade, playing an important role in strengthening the corporate banking franchise and advancing the Bank’s strategic priorities. On behalf of the Bank, she thanks Anthony for his dedication and commitment and wishes him every success in his future endeavours. #UOBHK #RightByYou

More than RM18 billion in foreign direct investments has been facilitated into the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) since 2024. This reflects the effectiveness of public-private collaboration, following the launch of UOB Green Lane with Invest Johor last year. At the UOB–Invest Johor JS-SEZ Strategic Forum 2026, we announced two new investor commitments exceeding RM1 billion. GSP Automotive Malaysia and Paragon Globe, and JT Automation Technology presented their Letters of Intent on plans to invest and expand operations within the JS-SEZ. The presentation to Tuan Haji Natazha Hariss, CEO of Invest Johor, was witnessed by the Menteri Besar of Johor, YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Johor State Economic and Investment Advisor, YB Dato' IR Hasni bin Mohammad, and CEO of UOB Malaysia, Ng Wei Wei, signalling continued progress for cross border investments and regional supply chain integration. “From the outset, UOB has focused on practical enablers to turn interest into action. Combining Johor’s development priorities with Singapore’s role as a global business hub enables companies on both sides of the Causeway to execute cross border opportunities. Partnering Invest Johor, MIDA and IRDA, we continue to facilitate high-value investments into the JS-SEZ from multiple countries, strengthen supply chain connectivity and deliver economic benefits for Malaysia and Singapore.” – Ng Wei Wei, CEO of UOB Malaysia The forum attracted more than 400 delegates, including prospective investors from abroad, MNCs, SMEs, alongside representatives from business chambers and trade associations. At the event, we also launched our digital education programme, UOB My Digital Space in Malaysia, starting with Johor, which reinforces our commitment to developing future-ready talent for the digital age.
