During our “The Dirt on Composting” panel discussion, our Silver Spring compost partner Veteran Compost, North Carolina-based Master Gardener Karen DiDonato, and United Therapeutics’ own Dapo Awe dug into the impact of composting—highlighting how reducing food waste can strengthen local food systems and what each of us can do at home and in our communities. At our “Green Glow-Up” event, we heard from Unitherians Jon Lane and George Adjei, who shared their personal journeys toward greener living—from solar energy to geo-exchange systems. Their stories offered practical insights and inspiration for those looking to make more sustainable choices. And our fellow Unitherians shared their own small but meaningful actions for gardening, recycling, upcycling, sustainable cooking, and simply enjoying nature!

We're proud to share exciting data on pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), interstitial lung disease (ILD), and lung transplantation at #ISHLT2026! Our presentations include a new preliminary analysis from the ARTISAN study indicating that early, high-dose therapy can reduce mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP) and improve right heart function in PAH. We will also report interim PHINDER data exploring non-invasive measures to detect elevated mPAP in ILD. We will also share data on quality improvement strategies to drive lung transplant program growth, outcomes data on lung transplantation in ILD patients, machine learning approaches to predict lung acceptance following ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP), and factors influencing EVLP outcomes.
