🌟 The future of inclusive teaching is bright, and already taking shape in schools! On 21 November, the TUTOR Final Conference, "Inclusive Teaching in Practice: Strengthening Teacher Capacity Across Europe", took place at the EVBB VET House in Brussels, bringing together educators, researchers and policymakers to celebrate what TUTOR has achieved, and the positive results already felt in classrooms, while looking ahead to what inclusive teaching needs next across Europe. We heard a shared message throughout the day: inclusion works best when it is intersectional, holistic, and backed by ongoing support for teachers. Victoria Topalidi (AKMI International) opened with the project’s vision, and later returned to share the pilot experience and outcomes, showing how teachers benefited from the trainings and mobilities. Bernie Grummell (Maynooth University) highlighted how research and teacher voices shaped TUTOR, and Leonidas Gomatos (School of Pedagogical and Technological Education) showcased the joint curriculum now equipping teachers to respond to diverse learners, including migrant-background students, LGBTQI+ learners and those facing socio-economic disadvantage. Charlemagne 28, Brussels & Online  👥 Organised by EVBB and EVTA Across Europe, classrooms are becoming increasingly diverse — shaped by students’ different migration experiences, cultural and linguistic backgrounds, socio-economic contexts, and identities. 🌍 This diversity enriches learning but also reveals how unequal systems and limited teacher preparation can affect belonging, participation, and achievement in schools. The TUTOR Project (Teachers’ Upskilling Aiming at a Holistic Inclusivity in Learning) — an Erasmus+ Teacher Academies initiative — was created to respond to these challenges. 📣 Meet Tuncer Demirci, our TUTOR Ambassador from Turkey! With a rich background in vocational education spanning over three decades, Tuncer brings invaluable experience and dedication to the TUTOR project. He began his academic journey at Gazi University, Faculty of Technical Education, which led to a career as a construction technology teacher with the Ministry of National Education. Beyond the classroom, Tuncer played a significant role as a project specialist for the European Union (2002–2006), contributing to efforts aimed at enhancing Turkey’s vocational education system. Although he retired two years ago, his passion for education remains strong, and he continues to actively engage in vocational education projects. 📣 Meet Alexandra Diamantopoulou, our TUTOR Ambassador! Alexandra Diamantopoulou is a Secondary Education teacher specialising in French Language and Literature. She also holds degrees in Spanish Language and Culture and in Public Administration, and has completed four Master’s programmes in areas including Educational Management, Intercultural Education, Adult Education, and Historical Source Methodology. She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Crete, focusing on Preschool Education, and also holds a specialisation in Counselling and Career Guidance. Alexandra has a background in multilingual education, intercultural teaching, and educational leadership. She has also been involved in teacher training, academic collaboration, and learner support in diverse educational contexts. 📣 Introducing our TUTOR ambassador! 🌟 Meet Ioannis K. Linardakis, Director of the 3rd Gymnasium of Kilkis in Greece. Ioannis combines academic excellence with a deep commitment to inclusive and supportive education. He is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Agricultural Science and holds two Master’s degrees: one in School Psychology with a focus on Crisis Management in Education, and another in School Unit Management (MUNDIS). His professional expertise extends to the environmental impact of wind farms and career guidance for students. Ioannis is passionate about fostering safe, inclusive and forward-thinking learning environments, placing students’ well-being and future opportunities at the heart of school life. 📣 Introducing our TUTOR ambassador!   🌟 Meet Martin Wegscheider, a dedicated educator and school leader based in Tyrol, Austria. Martin teaches commercial subjects at HAK/HAS Imst, where he also serves as Head of Administration, combining his teaching practice with school management responsibilities.   Alongside his role at HAK/HAS Imst, Martin works with the University of Teacher Education Tyrol (PHT) and acts as State Coordinator for Entrepreneurship Education Tyrol within the eesi network. Martin is passionate about promoting entrepreneurial skills and modern teaching approaches that prepare students for the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s world.
