Something 'NEW' is coming in TUKAcad 2026…with 3D Sample Maker For decades, the process has been the same. A pattern is created. -Then it goes to the cutting room. -Fabric is cut. -A sample is sewn. The garment is put on a person or a dummy… …just to see what is wrong with the pattern. Because the truth is simple: Flat patterns never tell the full story. What if every pattern maker could check the fit instantly — before cutting even a single piece of fabric? In the upcoming TUKAcad 2026, we are introducing a new module that allows pattern makers to: ✔ Validate fit immediately ✔ See the garment in 3D as soon as the pattern is ready ✔ Adjust the pattern directly in 2D or 3D ✔ Confirm the fit before any sample is cut or sewn This isn’t about replacing design samples. This is about eliminating unnecessary FIT samples. The goal is simple: If the garment fits correctly on screen… there is no reason to cut and sew just to discover mistakes. Last week I had the opportunity to visit the Tukatech, Inc. Innovation Center in Los Angeles. Alex Y. and Kit Kwok gave me a full tour of the end-to-end fashion technology ecosystem. From digital pattern making and 3D design to automated cutting and intelligent production systems, they truly cover every step of the apparel development process. Behind it all - founder Ram Sareen‘s vision. A belief that fashion deserves the same technological power as any advanced industry.
