Project Spotlight: Royal ISD !! E3 Entegral Solutions partnered with Royal ISD to complete district-wide lighting upgrades and ongoing HVAC improvements, helping enhance efficiency and reduce long-term energy costs. The project included converting over 9,000 lighting fixtures to LED, with additional HVAC and controls work currently in progress. Since enrolling in CenterPoint Energy’s SCORE/CitySmart program in 2022, Royal ISD is projected to generate over $2 million in energy savings over the next 15 years. The district was also recognized as a 2022 “Top Performer,” ranking 6th in peak demand savings. As a result of the lighting upgrades, Royal ISD received a $154,749.65 incentive check from CenterPoint Energy and is already seeing the benefits of these improvements, with even more savings expected as the remaining work is completed. “Royal ISD is a growing district with great leadership and an exciting future. E3 is grateful to partner with Royal ISD to enhance their facilities and support the best possible learning environment for students. Utilizing TIPS made the procurement process efficient and seamless and set the tone for a successful project,” said Vince Zubicek, Business Development Manager for E3 Entegral Solutions. Meet the Team: Johnny Torres “JT”, JOC Field Representative (Texas Rio Grande Valley) We’re excited to welcome JT as the newest addition to the TIPS Construction team! As our JOC Field Representative for the Texas Rio Grande Valley, JT works closely with TIPS Members and Awarded Vendors to oversee Job Order Contracting (JOC) project execution. He focuses on efficiency, compliance, and driving successful outcomes — ensuring projects move forward smoothly and meet the standards our Members depend on. With boots-on-the-ground support in the RGV and a strong commitment to the TIPS community, JT plays a key role in helping bring projects from concept to completion. 💙 Fun fact: JT is a U.S. Navy veteran with five deployments, including Operation Enduring Freedom, and served as a Tactical Boat Operator. His proudest accomplishment is being a dad to his 14-year-old son. A lifelong baseball fan, he was scouted at age 10 to play in a nationwide AAU tournament in Kansas City and still enjoys competitive softball, pickleball, and golf — though golf doesn’t always enjoy him back. Project Spotlight: Arkadelphia School District !! Hellas Construction recently installed its Matrix Helix synthetic turf and Cushdrain system for Arkadelphia School District. This turf provides a natural grass playing experience trusted by K-12 schools, collegiate programs, and NFL teams nationwide. The field features a vibrant blue and red color scheme with the school logo, regulation soccer lines, and high jump and long jump areas — giving students a top-tier athletic experience. “Our experience was great while working with Arkadelphia School District on the turfing of their football field, and we are very proud of the success they had in their first year playing on it,” said Ruth Hawley, National Cooperative Contracts Manager for Hellas Construction. “Thank you TIPS for making this process easier.” TIPS Construction is proud to support projects that enhance facilities and student experiences across the nation. Project Spotlight: NGU Sports Lighting, LLC Upgrade for Lake Dallas ISD When Lake Dallas ISD needed to replace its outdated sports lighting system, NGU delivered a full LED retrofit designed to improve visibility, performance, and the overall game-day experience. The project upgraded lighting across both indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, meeting UIL-recommended levels while also addressing previously unlit areas identified by the district.
