Canvas is the most requested Subframe feature of the last 2 years. Here's what makes it different: Every page snaps to a grid - no more infinite mess, no more scattered flows. Everything has a place. Pinch out to navigate the canvas. Double click to jump back into edit mode. The transition is seamless - it feels like designing in the browser and zooming out when you need to. The canvas holds context. When you Ask AI, it already knows what you're looking at. Generate variations, drop them straight into the canvas, and when you're ready, one MCP link takes everything to code. Design. Code. AI. One canvas. Open Canvas → subframe.com

Running a community design challenge at Subframe. Two week cadence: Week 1 — build. The brief: one form, any kind. Checkout, signup, settings, job application, something nobody asked you to make. The constraint is one form, one preview link. Week 2 — vote. The gallery stays open and preview counts accumulate. Whoever has the most unique views at the end takes the top spot on the Built with Subframe showcase. The pitch: most "form" work happens for someone else's spec. This is permission to design one for yourself, the way you wish forms got designed. Submissions close Monday, May 4 at noon PT. Winner announced Monday, May 11 at noon PT. Even with just 30-minutes I bet you and Subframe AI could come up with something great!

a new take on canvas we were never anti-canvas. so why are we only shipping it now? design tools haven't evolved in a decade. but building in a new medium (code + ai) calls for new paradigms. Subframe was built so you can ship what you design. the constraints are intentional because you're designing in the browser. but as people shifted their entire workflows into subframe, canvas remains the best way to visually communicate & explore ideas. so we built one from the ground up: - pinch out to transition from a responsive page editor to infinite canvas - grid-based so your designs stay organized - full context for ai and agents to work alongside you - plus a new interface try it now - we're building for the future of design

Some tools ask you to come back later. Subframe lets you keep building. Great ideas don't wait. Build without limits. subframe.com

The handoff is over. Subframe is the design-to-code workflow that lets product teams ship UI faster. No translation, no back-and-forth, no grunt work. Design it. Ship it. That's it. subframe.com

The best AI workflow isn’t giving up control. It’s keeping it. Vibe coding makes it easier than ever to create fast. It also makes it easier than ever to create sameness. For designers (true artists at heart), the value isn’t just in generating something quickly. It’s in being able to control it, refine it, and push it somewhere better. The workflow may change. The love of creation doesn’t. Subframe bridges both worlds. Filip Skrzesinski, Irvin Zhan can't wait for the next set of features!
