Today is Tuesday, so I'm giving out money again. 1'000 CHF if you help us find a cracked engineering intern. We're building the Cursor for learning with 10 people. Quite challenging. So we're looking for someone who will build (agentic) systems all day long so we can continue outperforming competitors with teams of 50+. What matters is that you shipped things end-to-end. That's it. Based in Zurich. Stellar team. Well-paid. Free food. Claude Max. Know someone? DM me or tag them below. More info: https://lnkd.in/eqED_7yz

Zurich’s best builders in one room for a day. Last Saturday, Studyflash sponsored the Agentic Hack alongside Google DeepMind, v0 by Vercel, Mixedbread, and Founderful, hosted by the ETH Agentic Systems Lab. Teams had a few hours to build working agentic systems from scratch. One group turned a robot dog into a multimodal agent. Another built an AI-powered SOC analyst. Shoutout to all participants for their efforts! A year ago, we were the ones hacking away at ETH, and now we get to support the next generation of builders. If you can build like this, we want to talk. Big thanks to Robert Jakob, Atoof Shakir, Pascal Bertrand, Kevin O'Sullivan, Edo Treccani, Dawid Ostrowski, and everyone involved.

Tomorrow is the day. The Agentic Hackathon is taking place with Zurich's best builders. Co-hosted by Google DeepMind, v0 by Vercel, and the ETH Agentic Systems Lab with support from Founderful and independent judges from Mixedbread. And it just got even better. Studyflash is in. One of Zurich's hottest startups. Their agents enable 1 million students in Europe to ace their studies. They're not just putting a cash prize on the table but also a shot at an internship at one of Switzerland's fastest-scaling startups. This is your chance to build something exceptional. We added $1M in ARR in January. In 2025, Studyflash grew rapidly, supporting hundreds of thousands of students and saving millions of study hours. Over the last months, the team put in an insane effort preparing for the EdTech Champions League final: winter exam season. We won and saved our users an ocean of exam tears in the process. This is just the beginning. The goal is clear: enable anyone, anywhere to learn anything. If you want to be part of a stellar team punching well above its weight, reach out, especially if you want to have an outsized impact as our founder's associate. Let's crush 2026 together. Onwards and upwards. 💜

Want to build a one-person unicorn? This is the cheat code. Inspired by Procuros, we’re bringing the Future Founders Program to Zurich. We bootstrapped Studyflash to multi-million ARR with top 1% MRR growth. Sifted named us one of Europe’s hottest university spinouts. We turned down multi-million pre-seed term sheets along the way. Now I need a right hand to bring us from 1 to 10. Product. Strategy. Operations. Whatever makes the difference. You’ll support us where it matters most. Very clear path: Intern → Founder’s Associate → Chief of Staff. What you get: - Exposure to being a founder without the risk attached - End-to-end ownership from day one - Every lesson we learned scaling from 0 to here What we expect: - Insane ownership - Exceptional willingness and capability to learn - Not taking yourself too seriously Want to start your own thing after two years? No problem. We’ll even back you with an angel investment. The main criterion? Ability to learn. Demonstrate that and you’ve got a shot. If I were looking for a job, I would apply. Link in comments.

"If I started Duolingo today, I'd follow Studyflash's approach." Yeah, 2025 was quite a ride. January: At the lowest I've ever been. February: Launched our iOS app and moved to London for a five-week uni sprint at LBS. 9-9-6? More like 8-12-7. March: Cleaned up the cap table. Started paying ourselves a salary. April: Wrote my master's thesis in 7 days. Learned a lot about agentic systems. Totally unrelated, though. May: No more distractions, only Studyflash. Strategy retreat in Lisbon with Dominik and Rajiv to set the stage. June: Met Duolingo's Severin Hacker in NYC. Quote says it all. July: First team offsite in Belgrade. Made the Studyflash vision feel much more alive. August: Ended up in a funding round involuntarily. Received big term sheets. Declined strategically and went back to building. September: Hit 500k users and kicked off the biggest Studyflash campaign ever. October: Most successful month in company history + graduation November: Shipping day & night. Got our first office. December: Challenges left, right, and center. But the growth speaks for itself. 2024 was the start. 2025 was the build-up. 2026 is the take-off.

Studyflash is now Studyflash. Most startups go through a rebranding at some point. But not us. At least, not really. Studyflash was born in a dorm in Lisbon. Just Dominik, me, and some long nights. But luckily, we put a lot of thought into the brand DNA early on. For once, knowledge from a Bachelor’s lecture actually came in handy. And it worked out. Millions saw it, recognized it, and loved it. But let's be honest, a brand crafted in bed before Nano Banana didn’t match our global ambitions anymore. Rebranding? No. Refinement? Yes. Everything looks fresher, sharper, and simply more mature. Here we go. That’s the new Studyflash. Hope you like it as much as we do.

We said goodbye to the place where we scaled from 0 to 1. Last week, we packed our bags (and screens) after one year of grind at the ETH Student Project House. One year ago, after some initial side-tracked steps, we became full-time founders. It's been quite a ride ever since at Studyflash - primarily an upwards ride for once. In these 12 months, we have evolved from a flashcard tool to a full-fledged study copilot that students all around Europe prefer over ChatGPT or Gemini. The result? 10x growth, including revenues. Honestly, SPH and the inspiring people within it were a strong reason for this trajectory. Fundraising marathons with Federico and battling it out with the whole FORGIS team on who stays longer at night (Rajiv gave them a tough time). Benchmarking growth with Marco. Comparing sleep scores with Nikos - even though it killed my mood. Exchanging B2C growth strategies with Jan-Oliver and sharing paid ads best practices with Imad. The list goes on... However, as the team and ambitions expanded, we sadly outgrew the space. We had to look for the natural next step: the Studyflash HQ. We found the perfect place for the journey from 1-10, taking over the old DeepJudge office at Enge (s/o for the huge Series A, btw). More on that soon. We'll certainly come around SPH every once and a while to grab a coffee and grind out some nights for the sake of nostalgia. Shoutouts to some cool projects/people below (sorry in advance for the ones I missed). Lots of love, see you soon! 🎉 A few weeks ago I joined in Zürich Studyflash as Automation & Platform Engineer Studyflash is an AI-native study platform with over 500,000 students across Western Europe, empowering learners through flashcards, summaries, quizzes, mindmaps, and an AI study tutor named Max 🐶 My goal is to make internal systems more efficient, scalable, and less dependent on manual work using tools like Python, N8N, orchestration platforms, or AI agents to help the team scale faster and smarter 🎯 This step is meaningful to me because it’s the natural next chapter after building solo PodFlyy over the last year, an AI edTech app focused on audio lessons 🧠 That project taught me how to design systems from scratch, automate processes, and launch fast. Now, I get to apply those skills inside a team that’s already impacting thousands of students every day 📖 Super excited for what’s ahead, and grateful to the team for the warm welcome and Nikola Bulatovic & Dominik Gebhard for the opportunity. Lfg 🚀

  • Building the future of learning takes the best minds. That's why we're partnering with the ETH Agentic Systems Lab. A big shout-out to our CTO Rajiv Manichand. His thesis is a perfect example of the approach we're taking, where deep research and practical application go hand-in-hand. We're very proud to see that he paved the way for the next wave of agentic AI talent by inspiring the student tracks. And since we don't gatekeep at Studyflash - if you're studying at ETH Zürich, you won't find a better or more flexible lab for your thesis.

🚀 New Partnership with Studyflash | 📄 New AI Research Preprint Studyflash, founded by ETH Zürich & University of St.Gallen students Nikola Bulatovic, Dominik Gebhard, and Rajiv Manichand, has redefined learning for over 500,000 students by offering hyper-personalized and scientifically optimized AI-generated study materials. Now, with a strong push into agentic systems, they are evolving into the Cursor for learning, empowering anyone, anywhere to learn more effectively. Fully bootstrapped to a 10-person team and named one of Europe’s hottest university spinouts by Sifted, they are proving that impactful AI applications can be built without external funding. 📌 A story worth highlighting Alongside building Studyflash, Rajiv Manichand pursued his master thesis at our chair, developing a state-of-the-art computer vision model for BMI estimation from camera images and co-authoring a paper with our lab members Patrick Langer, Robin Deuber, Robert Jakob, and Elgar Fleisch. 📄 Preprint: https://lnkd.in/eKFUkqm8 Rajiv showed us what this generation of students is capable of: building a startup, completing studies, and publishing research, all at one. Rajiv's journey directly inspired our lab's student tracks: 👨🍳 Startup Track → write your thesis about and validate your own Agentic AI startup idea (instead of tackling two major challenges separately). 👩🚀 Explorer Track → gain hands-on startup experience by joining teams like Studyflash (Rajiv collaborated with the startup WayBetter who provided data for his thesis). 👩🔬 Lab Track → contribute to internal research projects, e.g. AI-driven oral student examinations — where we also aim to learn from Studyflash’s experience. We’re excited to work with Nikola, Dominik, and Rajiv on shaping the future of AI in education — and to support students whether they join Studyflash, our internal lab projects, or conduct research related to their own Agentic AI idea. #ETHZurich #StudentOpportunities #ThesisProject #Agents #AgenticAI #ArtificialIntelligence #AIResearch #AIEducation
