Updates

  • Strider was recently featured in a blog by Pregnant Chicken as the best overall balance bike! "Training wheels let kids pedal without learning balance, which means they still crash when you remove them," says author Amy Morrison. "Balance bikes flip that script and kids master balance while having fun, making pedal bikes feel natural." Amy also compares items like steel vs. aluminum frames and foam vs. air tires, helping parents make informed decisions when purchasing a balance bike for their toddler! • Since day one, our goal has been simple — get more children on bikes worldwide. Balance bikes make learning to ride easy AND fun, giving kids the opportunity to develop their balance and strength before adding pedals. Then, there's no struggle and no stress when they're ready to pedal away, and they'll have lasting confidence and passion for spending time outdoors. Excellent Family Adventures recently posted their review of Strider Bikes after purchasing two for their daughter and son. Seeing their son take his skills from the rocking bike to the sidewalk, and their daughter now conquering the local pump track, Steve wrote that "what has resulted is nothing short of revolutionary, adding years of bike riding to a childhood and some early core memories on a bike." • At Strider, we're committed to getting as many people on bikes and outside as possible. In honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness month, we're featuring our 20x bike. It’s just like our smaller balance bikes, but with larger, highly adjustable components to accommodate older riders with disabilities as they begin their learn-to-ride journey. The 20x breaks down the overwhelming task of learning how to ride a bike into a safe and natural progression. Designed with a low stand-over-height, this bike provides a low center of gravity, so it’s ultra-stable while riders focus on learning balance first. Bikes promote physical activity, provide a mode of transportation, and empower riders to navigate their communities and gain new levels of independence. Learning to ride a bike builds confidence and fosters social interaction, helping young adults with developmental disabilities achieve their goals and expand their horizons. With our 20x bike, we make sure that we don’t leave anyone out of the riding community. https://lnkd.in/gPM7c-eb
