This month, Sonnedix was in Milan participating in #SolarPLUS Europe. Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix, and Giuseppe M. Maronna, Head of Growth Italy, joined industry leaders to discuss what is driving the next phase of the energy transition in Europe. Axel highlighted the need to adapt to volatility, positioning solar and storage as the foundation of a resilient European energy system, enabled by electrification, flexibility, and data. Giuseppe explained how the market in Italy is evolving towards larger-scale and more complex infrastructure, where managing uncertainty and industrial expertise are becoming key differentiators. We’re beginning operations at our first UK based large-scale solar plant! Sonnedix Gammaton, a 40MW solar PV project in North Devon, marks a major milestone in our UK portfolio. We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Mario Volpe as Managing Director in Italy. Italy is a key pillar of our growth: we have recently surpassed 1 GW of operating capacity, secured 7.9 TWh under the Energy Release mechanism, and continue to expand a strong pipeline across utility-scale PV, BESS, and hybrid solutions. This progress reflects a proactive strategy built on acquisitions, development, and innovation, keeping us well positioned to further strengthen our presence in the years ahead. These achievements belongs first and foremost to the Sonnedix Italy team, whose commitment drives every project and every MW we bring to the grid. Last week, our Chief Engineering Officer, Jorge Amiano Goyarrola, took part as a panelist in “Scaling Solar in Europe: the New Demand Curve 📈 (BESS, AI Data Centers) and the Push to Build Faster”, a session held ahead of the Energy Tech Summit, focused on how energy demand is evolving across #Europe.   The discussion covered topics such as #BESS co-location, the rapid growth of AI-driven #DataCenters, and their impact on project design, permitting processes, supply chains, and construction timelines.   It was a highly insightful exchange alongside leading industry professionals, highlighting the need to accelerate the deployment of renewable infrastructure to meet an increasingly complex and demanding energy landscape.   Thank you Terabase Energy for including Sonnedix and Jorge in such an interesting session 👏   #SonnedixConnects #EnergyTechSummit

Strengthening our long-term commitment to the energy transition in Chile 🤝 💡 We are pleased to announce that we’ve signed three #PPAs with COPEC EMOAC - Energía Inteligente, reinforcing our role as a key partner for clean energy solutions. Our 117 MW Librillo BESS project, located in #Taltal (Antofagasta Region), will enable Copec EMOAC to integrate nighttime energy into its portfolio, enhancing flexibility, stability, and resilience across the electricity system. This agreement also represents an important step forward in the development of long-term contracts linked to renewable energy and storage solutions. With 1 GW already in operation in the country, +100MW under construction, and 1.8GW of development pipeline, our Chile team continues to expand Sonnedix’s presence as a #NextGenIPP while strengthening our position in the market. ⚡ ☀️ 🔋 Sonnedix has signed its first long-term hybrid PPA with Endesa, a milestone in our hybridization strategy and a new chapter in how we deliver renewable energy. The agreement covers 262.8GWh of solar PV generation and battery energy storage (BESS) across our Iberian portfolio, starting in 2027. By combining renewable generation and storage, we can offer electricity when it is needed, providing greater flexibility, predictability, and value to large energy consumers. As our first hybrid product, this collaboration reflects our commitment to innovation and to advancing the energy transition through smarter, more resilient systems, always putting the customer at the center.
