  • Choosing an MSP isn’t just an IT decision. It’s a business decision. The right partner impacts your security, your day-to-day operations, your costs, and your ability to grow. But most companies evaluate MSPs based on surface-level things like response time or price. That’s where problems start. This guide breaks down what actually matters when you’re making that decision. From strategic alignment to security, operations, and long-term ROI. If you’re currently evaluating providers or even questioning your current one, this is worth a read. • This is exactly what we see every day working with businesses. Small gaps turn into big problems when no one’s watching.

A lot of people hear about companies getting hacked and quietly think, “That would never happen to us.” Unfortunately, that mindset is exactly what puts businesses at risk. Cyber incidents can happen to any business at any size, and more often, they happen because of small gaps that go unnoticed over time: An outdated system. Weak passwords. Missing backups. No monitoring in place. When those things add up, it creates opportunities attackers look for every day. The goal of cybersecurity is risk reduction through preparation. Strong security measures, regular updates, employee awareness, and proper monitoring drastically reduce the chances of a serious incident. The businesses that handle cybersecurity best aren’t the ones who assume it won’t happen to them. They’re the ones who plan as if it could.

  • Most cybersecurity issues don’t come from one major failure. They come from smaller gaps that build up over time. Outdated systems, weak passwords, limited monitoring, and missing backups. These are the patterns we’re seeing most often right now, especially for teams handling sensitive data. We put together a 17-page executive guide that breaks down where these risks show up and what to look for.

  • Most IT issues involve more than one vendor. When that happens, someone still has to own it. If your team is stuck coordinating between providers, that’s not real support.

Have you ever felt stuck in an IT ping-pong game? You’re the ball, getting whacked back and forth between your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and your MSP because the Wi-Fi is down.   Wi-Fi is arguably the most mission-critical utility in your office. Yet, most MSPs don’t own the resolution of Wi-Fi outages from start to finish since it involves a third-party ISP.   As a result, the employee is stuck playing "project manager" just to get the lights back on. They’re sitting on hold with a carrier, reciting MAC addresses and rebooting routers while their actual work piles up.   That’s not support. In fact, the employee is the one supporting the MSP.   We do something simple that most MSPs won’t: We own the problem from start to finish, even when it isn't "technically" ours.   Does it cost more for our business? Yes. It means our engineers spend their time navigating automated phone trees and arguing with Tier 1 ISP support so your team doesn't have to. It means we stay on the line until the signal is restored, verifying the fix ourselves rather than just closing a ticket because "the ISP says it's fine."   Have we had support calls that take hours to resolve?   Yes. But for the employee? It’s magic.   They tell us their problem. We listen. And we move heaven and earth to get that issue resolved as effectively as possible. While we’re battling the ISP in the background, your employee is back to being productive, not acting as an unpaid IT coordinator.

  • Cloud migrations can get expensive quickly if everything isn’t mapped out first. A few of the most common surprises organizations run into when moving infrastructure to the cloud:

A lot of cloud costs don’t show up until after you’ve already started.   Some examples we hear from customers:   Extra licensing fees that weren't in the initial quote. More storage and backup requirements than originally forecasted. Internet upgrades needed to handle the new bandwidth demand. Downtime while legacy systems struggle to "talk" to the cloud. Vendors making changes that break integrations with other services. Monthly costs that slowly creep up because nothing was sized correctly from day one.   This is more common than people realize.   Not because the cloud is a bad idea, but because most organizations start the move before everything has been fully mapped out.   Before anything gets moved, we help review your applications, your environment, and your risk so you know what should go to the cloud, what should stay on-premises, and what it will realistically cost to do it right.   If you’re thinking about migrating servers or refreshing your infrastructure, we’re here as a resource. We’re always happy to help you think through your environment and what it will realistically cost.

  • Looking for cost-effective ways to reduce cyber liability at your firm? Consider ditching passwords altogether by enabling passwordless sign-in for your Microsoft account. It's free and extremely effective. Passwordless login uses an authentication app that generates a secure one-time code for each login attempt, making it significantly more secure than traditional passwords, which can be stolen, hacked, or guessed. Here's Microsoft's documentation on how to set this up in your account: https://lnkd.in/gBPgMK9Q If you have any questions or need help setting up passwordless login, shoot us a message, and we can help you get it set up! #cybersecurity #manageditservices
