Earlier this year, Janus Boye penned an article for me about why CMS is your “unsung hero” in 2025 🦸♂️ ⚡ After wrapping the #CMSConnect25 Conference in Montreal a few weeks ago, I felt inspired to build on his heroic theme. While CMS was central to the mission of this event, it was people – not products – that really made it fly. In my overview and analysis of the second annual Boye & Company summer conference, I cover everything that made it “super.” I hit all the high points across the two-day agenda, from the substantive lighting talks to the immersive group workshops that explored the problems and opportunities facing the #contentmanagement landscape. As you might guess, #AI was constantly in the spotlight. But it wasn’t the only topic. We were treated to a fascinating talk on narrative storytelling by Deane Barker and a real-world use case on #accessibility by Lucy Greco that inspired action. And that's just scratching the surface. Once again, our world-famous “CMS Idol” competition did not disappoint. Watching vendors work their "demo muscle" under pressure is always fun and incredibly informative. As emcee, I have some thoughts on how this fiery crop of pitches stacked up to previous battles. For me, this was so much more than a conference – it was a gathering of "content champions." From vendors to agencies to practitioners, this community showed up to team up, sharing their wisdom and insight to help move us all forward.
