About us

Running an influencer campaign sounds simple. Find creators, brief them, track results. Then reality hits. The right creator for your client's product is in a database you don't have access to. The brief gets lost in email threads. The client wants performance data before they sign, and you're pitching on gut feeling. The campaign works in France, falls apart in Germany, and is a complete mystery in the USA. This is what agency influencer ops actually looks like. We know because we ran them. Smartfluence was built by a team that spent years on the operational side, running campaigns across Europe, Asia, and the US before writing a single line of platform code. We hit walls. We built tools to get through them. Eventually the tools were better than the campaigns. Now those tools are a platform for agencies. AI-powered creator discovery across Western markets. Prediction models trained on real campaign outcomes. And coverage of a market no Western platform is seriously building for: Asian agencies (especially from China, Singapore, and Korea) who need to run Western influencer campaigns but have no easy access to the creator ecosystem.   • Most people think influencer pricing is about audience size. It’s not. It’s about the niche. And the gap is bigger than most expect. Here’s what we see in the data (YouTube dedicated videos, median prices): Parisian Home Decor → ~2,000€  Lifestyle Vlogging → ~800€  Outdoor Adventure → ~800€  Indie Game → ~700€  Wellness → ~425€  Tech Reviews → ~200€  Electric Mobility → ~200€  Gaming Setups → ~150€ Same platform.  Sometimes similar audience sizes. Up to 13× price difference. Why? Because not all audiences have the same value. Home decor audiences are highly intentional.  People are ready to buy. Few creators. High demand. Gaming setups? Massive supply.  Highly competitive. Lower pricing power. So before comparing two creators based on followers… Compare their niche. Because in influencer marketing,  what people watch matters more than how many watch it. Have you ever seen pricing differences this extreme between niches? 👇

  • Why are French creators 2× more expensive than others? Same format.  Same audience tier.  Same type of content. Completely different prices. Here’s what the data shows (YouTube dedicated videos, Micro/Mid tier, 1,256 real prices): France → ~700€ median  Germany → ~400€  US / UK → ~350€  Spain → ~150€  Italy → ~150€ French creators cost 2× more than US creators.  And up to 4–5× more than Spanish ones. So what’s going on? It’s not about talent. It’s about market structure. France is a smaller market.  Audiences are more concentrated, more valuable, and often more niche. There’s also a stronger culture of agents and management.  Prices are structured. Negotiations are framed. In markets like Spain or Italy, pricing is still less standardized.  Creators accept lower deals. For brands and agencies running cross-border campaigns,  this changes everything.   • Nano creators are cheaper. At least, that’s what everyone assumes. But are you really paying less… or just getting less? Here’s what the data actually shows (YouTube dedicated videos, 1,256 real deals): Nano (<10K subscribers) → ~350€  Micro (10–50K) → ~400€  Mid (50–200K) → ~750€  Macro (200K+) → ~1,300€ At first glance, it makes sense. Bigger audience → higher price. But look closer. The jump from Nano to Micro is only +14%.  Almost nothing. Then suddenly: Micro → Mid jumps +88%  Mid → Macro jumps +73% The real pricing curve isn’t linear. It accelerates fast. Which raises a more important question: Are you paying 4x more for a Macro…  or are you getting 4x more impact? Because in influencer marketing,  price is not the metric that matters. Views are.  And more importantly, cost per view. We ran the numbers. And the result is not what most people expect. We’ll break it down in the next post 👀

  • Same creator.  3 formats.  3 completely different prices. And most brands still choose the most expensive one. You want to work with a YouTuber. They usually offer 3 options.  A dedicated video.  An integration.  Or a short format like TikTok or Reels. But here’s what the real data says (based on 1,256 actual deals): A dedicated YouTube video sits around 500€ median. An integration inside a video drops to ~350€.  That’s already 30% cheaper. TikTok or Instagram Reels go even lower, around 300€. Same creator. Same audience.  But up to 40% price difference depending on the format. And yet… integrations are still underused. Why? Because brands want exclusivity.  They want the video to be “about them”. But in reality, a well-placed integration inside a high-performing video  can outperform a dedicated video that no one watches. More visibility doesn’t always mean more impact.     I step on stage, I look up, and for a moment everything stops. Web Summit. A huge crowd. A feeling that hits harder than expected. It is not my first time speaking on stage, but it is the first time in front of an audience this big. And honestly, it feels incredible. Powerful. Addictive in a good way. It makes me want to do this more often. I share the heart of what drives Smartfluence - AI Global Influence. A simple idea. The world is overflowing with products, and most brands stay invisible. The best ones deserve to be seen. And creators, supported by the right technology, are the bridge that makes this possible. That is why we built Smartfluence the way we did. Not a tool. Not a SaaS.     Life is a pitch. I first heard that line from a sales colleague after we’d scraped our way through a brutal deal in Paris, one of those that leaves you half elated, half existential. He wasn’t wrong. Everything is a pitch: a conversation, a risk, a leap into the unknown. As a French-American navigating the Paris startup ecosystem, I’ve had my share of lessons, some elegant, others messy. I learned quickly that in France, the startup world runs on caffeine, conviction, and the perfect elevator pitch. You don’t just sell a product here, you sell a philosophy, a vision wrapped in a story. Then came Smartfluence, and with it, my partnership with Léo, a true co-conspirator in this beautiful madness. Together, we’re redefining what a boutique influencer marketing agency can be, combining the art of influence with the power of agentic AI. What once took full teams of marketers, we now achieve with two people and a few remarkably capable algorithms. It’s humbling, energizing, and often a little surreal. Next stop: Web Summit Lisbon. We’re going not just to talk tech, but to listen, learn, and connect with others who share our curiosity about where AI-driven marketing is headed. Not long ago, while facing health challenges, I wasn’t sure what my next chapter would look like.
