Tally here! 🤖 🩵 The innovative team at Schnuck Markets, Inc. requires no introduction in any retail setting, so we loved seeing this article that spotlights their use of respected technologies like Domo, Instacart, and Logile, Inc. https://lnkd.in/g2fJpsVy
While Walmart and Amazon dominate the AI retail conversation, a family-owned 114-store grocery chain from St. Louis called Schnuck Markets, Inc. has been running AI-powered inventory robots across every single one of its stores since 2021, reducing out-of-stocks by 20 to 30% and identifying shelf gaps 14 times more efficiently than manual scans. Schnucks has also deployed AI fresh food forecasting chainwide, smart carts, electronic shelf labels in every store, and a unified data platform connecting every department, all built since 2017 with no pilot that does not become production. Today, we launched the Simbe Index, a new benchmark for understanding what’s happening on the shelf during peak retail moments. Powered by over 45 billion shelf images globally, it provides a real-time view of how demand and execution meet in stores, where most retail decisions are made. Our first release examines the two weeks leading into Easter and Passover, comparing 2025 and 2026. We see a clear pattern in how demand builds across categories: 🥚 Eggs remained under pressure from the start of the shopping window 🍖 Protein and prepared meals were among the earliest purchases 🪴 Nursery saw some of the highest out-of-stock rates, extending beyond grocery By the peak, out-of-stocks more than doubled from 3.8% to 8.3%. But retailers also made meaningful progress: 🌸 Floral out-of-stocks dropped by over half year-over-year, reflecting stronger replenishment and real-time visibility. Peak demand is not a single moment, it’s a series of category-specific signals. The Simbe Index makes those signals measurable, so teams can prioritize execution with precision. https://lnkd.in/gmEF-K6u #StoreIntelligence #RetailInnovation #RetailData

When products are in the right place, at the right price, at the right time, merchandising strategies create sales and shopper trust. Real-time shelf intelligence helps merchants see what’s happening in real-time across stores to: - Validate planogram compliance - Identify out-of-stocks and shelf gaps early - Verify promotional and vendor execution - Investigate sales with realograms and shelf data The result: a clearer view of store performance and faster decisions across merchandising and operations. Explore how shelf intelligence is reshaping merchandising execution: Link in comments! #RetailMerchandising #RetailOperations #RetailAI

“You can improve store execution when you can see it,” says Balls Foods CEO and Simbe client Ryan Campbell, as the Associated Wholesale Grocers Showcase kicked off at Hen House. With Tally, Balls Foods has already improved price accuracy by 65%, while freeing up store teams to spend more time serving shoppers. For his team, it’s about having a clear, consistent view of what’s happening on the shelf so pricing is right, products are available, and issues get resolved faster. We’re here this week showing how it works in practice. 📍 Booth #1000 | Today & Tomorrow
