Unidentified drones were reportedly detected over Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, with officials increasing security measures after multiple sightings on a single night. What stands out here is not just who lives on the base. It is the fact that even highly sensitive sites in the U.S. capital region remain exposed to low-altitude threats that can appear with little warning and unclear origin. Reports also said the incident prompted a White House meeting and discussions about whether to relocate senior officials, which shows how seriously these incursions are being taken. Read more about the incident here > https://lnkd.in/gA_QdFQN This is exactly why counter-drone strategy cannot start at mitigation alone. Security teams need the ability to passively detect unauthorized drones early, identify them accurately, and respond in a controlled way that avoids unnecessary disruption to the surrounding environment. In dense, high-stakes locations, that balance matters. Drone threats are no longer limited to battlefields or remote borders. They are showing up over government facilities, strategic sites, and critical operations close to home. That changes the standard for airspace security. #CounterUAS #DroneSecurity #AirspaceSecurity #CriticalInfrastructure #SecurityTechnology

Passenger Terminal Expo 2026 is a wrap, and one thing stood out: low-altitude airspace is still an open challenge for airports. Across three days in London, conversations with airport operators and security teams kept circling back to the same issue, limited visibility and control below 500 feet as drone activity becomes more frequent and harder to track. We touched on this briefly during PTE Connect, but the real value came from the on-the-ground discussions, hearing how different airports are approaching the problem and where current solutions fall short. Good to connect with so many of you and have real, practical conversations. If we didn’t catch you, let’s continue it. #PassengerTerminalExpo #AirportSecurity #DroneSecurity #CounterUAS

A recent article in WirtschaftsWoche explored how Israeli companies continue operating and innovating despite ongoing regional tensions. The piece referenced Sentrycs as part of Israel’s growing ecosystem of security and defense technologies addressing emerging threats such as unauthorized drones. Periods of instability often highlight how rapidly aerial threats can evolve. The proliferation of commercial drones has created new security challenges for critical infrastructure, government facilities, and public venues worldwide. At Sentrycs, our focus remains clear: providing organizations with the ability to detect, track, identify, and safely mitigate unauthorized drones in real-world operational environments. Authorities in Da Nang, Vietnam, penalized a foreign tourist after he was caught operating a drone without authorization near a busy city intersection, with the device temporarily confiscated. While this incident appears minor, it reflects a broader challenge facing cities and security authorities worldwide: unauthorized drones are increasingly common, even in dense urban environments and sensitive areas. Read the full story here> https://lnkd.in/d-NMZ7xP For security teams, the key issue is not just enforcement after the fact, but having the visibility to detect and identify drone activity in real time. Without continuous monitoring, operators may only become aware of a drone once it is already overhead. This is where counter-drone solutions like Sentrycs play a critical role. By enabling authorities to detect, track, and identify drones and their operators, security teams can maintain situational awareness and respond quickly to unauthorized UAV activity before it escalates. As drone usage continues to expand globally, urban environments will increasingly require reliable tools to monitor and manage the lower airspace safely and effectively. #DroneIncident #CounterUAS #DroneSecurity #UrbanSecurity #AirspaceSecurity

Excited to share that Sentrycs, part of Ondas Inc., supported airspace protection at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos. Integrated into Swisscom Broadcast’s Drone Defence deployment, our Cyber-over-RF technology enabled early detection, identification, and controlled mitigation of drone activity—supporting a layered, multi-technology approach for one of the world’s most high-profile events. As Eric Brock noted, "major international events like the World Economic Forum highlight the growing need for persistent protection of low-altitude airspace over public gatherings, critical infrastructure, and high-value locations." At the same time, Tal Cohen emphasized that "we’re proud to have been part of Swisscom Broadcast’s deployment in Davos, contributing to a structured and reliable counter-drone capability during the event." Proud to support real-world operations where regulation-compliant, cyber-based C-UAS solutions make a measurable impact.
