The C-AgAIPen exam is a well-designed offensive security certification. It's fully hands-on, the scenarios are realistic, and the difficulty level is appropriately challenging. After completing each stage, you'll feel like you've actually learned a new skill, not just checked a box. It pushes you well beyond the surface-level prompt injection content found in most AI security material. You have to think like an attacker against the entire system (the agent, its tools, its integrations, and the runtime around it) not just the model in isolation. The environment is solid, and the scenarios feel like real-world production deployments rather than toy CTF setups. The vulnerabilities reflect the kind of design and integration mistakes that happen when teams ship agentic AI features under deadline pressure. It rewards methodical enumeration, careful reading and creative problem solving over memorized payloads or copy-paste tricks. You must understand what the agent is doing and why and adapt your approach as you go. It's a well-crafted certification, and it's easily one of the most enjoyable offensive security exams I've taken recently. I just earned a new certification from The SecOps Group (Creators of PentestingExams.com), and I wanted to share a quick reflection: I genuinely recommend it. From my perspective, many things in cybersecurity are changing quickly. For us as pentesters, it is no longer enough to understand only traditional techniques, methodologies, and tools. It is also becoming essential to understand how companies are using agents to build new features, automate processes, and transform the way software is developed. But there is another equally important point: how we, as offensive security professionals, can start implementing agents in our own work. I am not talking about agents that “do the pentest for us.” I am talking about agents that help us strengthen our capabilities, especially in two key areas: Time: helping us reduce repetitive tasks, organize information, prioritize findings, and maintain continuity throughout an engagement. Persistence: supporting us on days when we cannot invest as many hours as we would like, while still helping us maintain depth, follow-up, and consistency in our testing. When used properly, agents can help us compensate for some of our human biases, limitations, and blind spots. They do not replace technical judgment, creativity, or experience, but they can become an additional layer of support to work with more depth and consistency. Cybersecurity is entering a stage where understanding agents is no longer optional. It is part of how we will evolve as professionals.

I'm excited to share that I've passed the Certified Cloud Pentesting eXpert for AWS (CCPenX-AWS) by The SecOps Group (Creators of PentestingExams.com) on my first attempt! The exam is fully hands-on, 7.5 hours in a live AWS environment, enumerating and exploiting across IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, and more, all the way to full attack chains. No memorization, no theory questions. You either build the chain or you don't. I finished with a couple of flags unsolved, both lost to overthinking rather than knowledge gaps, I guess :) Cloud pentesting has a specific trap where you convince yourself the next step must be some elaborate multi-service pivot, when the answer is already sitting in your output.
