  • Big thanks to the students and staff at Bloom Elementary for several amazing days of learning with TARC! Recently, 180 fourth and fifth graders took part in TARC’s Travel Training Program—starting with a hands-on classroom lesson about reading maps, understanding schedules, and the history of public transit in Louisville. On the second day, students put their skills to the test with a real-world bus ride from Bloom to Kroger on Bardstown Road. They gained firsthand experience riding the bus, exploring modern onboard technology, and learning about important safety features. Building confidence. Teaching independence. Connecting the next generation to their city. To schedule a Travel Training visit https://lnkd.in/gYKY4fkF

  • TARC is on a roll — and Louisville is taking notice. Eight Months Strong: TARC has delivered eight straight months of 80%+ on-time performance, reaching 84% last month. Reliable. Efficient. Focused on lasting success. Ridership is Rising: January ridership climbed 28,823 rides over January 2025, totaling 443,726 trips — even with winter weather in the mix. TARC3 Impact: Paratransit service provided 27,837 trips, more than nearly any peer city. Safety Matters: Riding TARC remains one of the safest ways to travel in Louisville — with just 6 accidents in January, compared to more than 1,000 vehicle accidents citywide each month. And for the first time in 14 years, the TARC Board of Directors approved updates to the fare schedule. New prices take effect March 2, 2026. Momentum. Accountability. Results. Louisville’s transit system is moving forward.
