It's National Apprenticeship Week! 680,000 active apprentices in the U.S. 114% increase over the past decade. Construction trades represent 36% of all registered apprentices, the single largest share of any industry. 41% of construction workers are expected to retire by 2031. The institutional knowledge they carry leaves when they do. Every process that depends on that knowledge becomes a training bottleneck. The contractors winning the workforce game aren't just recruiting more apprentices. They're building operations where a new hire can contribute on day one — without needing to know the system workarounds. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/gBUjpb6p

For Lighthouse Electric, delivering high-quality commercial and industrial projects at scale means more than having skilled crews. It means giving every team member — from the field to the purchasing desk — the visibility and tools to move fast without the friction. By bringing all their vendor connections into one platform, they've mastered the art of the streamlined procurement workflow. The result? Less time chasing down orders across multiple portals. Less back-and-forth between job sites and purchasing. More time on the work that actually moves projects forward. See how Lighthouse builds better with Remarcable: https://lnkd.in/g6gJtszs

Getting to connect directly with suppliers, hear real feedback, and have honest conversations about how we can keep improving together to better serve our customers, that's what it's all about. A huge highlight: 150+ participants joined our training sessions, which says everything about the engagement and investment Tri-City puts into their field teams. A massive thank you to Ben, Wes, Lori, Henry, and Dylan for the opportunity to be part of your show and for making us feel so welcome. We're grateful for the partnership!

It's National Careers in Trades Week and we're taking a moment to celebrate the workforce we build for every day. The electrical systems in your office, the HVAC keeping a hospital at temperature, the plumbing in a $200M data center. All of it built by tradespeople. Here's what the numbers say about the industry behind that work: • 8.3 million construction workers power 4.3% of US GDP — and every dollar spent generates $3.02 in total economic activity • Electricians earn a median of $62,350/year with zero student debt and paid on-the-job training from day one • Electrician jobs are growing at 9% — "much faster than average" — driven by data centers, EV infrastructure, and electrification • 92% of construction firms can't find enough qualified workers. The industry needs 349,000 net new workers in 2026 alone • Gen Z now makes up 14.1% of the construction workforce, up from 6.4% in 2019 Entering the trades is one of the strongest career paths in the US economy right now and the backbone of every other industry. We put together the full breakdown of 2026 skilled trades workforce statistics: wages, demographics, labor shortage data, apprenticeship pipelines, and job outlook by trade.
