One question I get quite often: “If ChatGPT is so good at databases, why build a Database Advisor like Releem?” ChatGPT can give helpful database recommendations when you provide the right context. Releem closes the loop. It continuously collects database context, generates recommendations, and turns them into safe automation through review, apply, rollback, and verification. ChatGPT helps you decide what to change. Releem helps you change your database safely.

  • You can now optimize any SQL query in Releem. Previously, Releem detected expensive queries automatically and suggested optimizations. Now you can also add a query manually. Releem will request the execution plan from your database server, analyze the query, and recommend optimization steps. This is useful when you want to check a query before it reaches production. How to try it: Open Dashboard → Query Optimization → + Add Custom Query Paste your SQL query and let Releem analyze it.

Some of the first hosting providers integrated Releem into their control panels, and we began getting feedback from their customers. At first, I thought the main value was the integration itself. But the real learning started after end users began using it. A good partner is not only a distribution channel. A good partner gives you access to real customer environments, real objections, and real adoption friction. The integration matters. But what you learn after customers use it may matter even more.

PostgreSQL support in Releem is now available 🎉 Teams can now use the same Releem workflow across MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL. PostgreSQL support helps teams understand database health, monitor activity, identify and address security issues, and tune configuration to improve performance. Schema analysis and query optimization are coming soon. We first opened it to users on our waitlist, collected feedback, and used that feedback to improve the product before the public release. Big thank you to everyone on the waitlist who helped us shape the product 🙌

We simplified how recommendations are shown in Releem SQL Query Analytics. You can now see analysis and recommendations for top and slowest queries without extra clicks. If a query is fine, you’ll still see that it was checked and when it was last analyzed.
