We know it works as it was designed by our very own Neil Blair, who use to conduct and manage valve lockout tasks onsite (many moons ago). Tested in the field, over decades, by teams of professional safety engineers and those working in hazardous environments. Pro-lock (UK) Ltd was founded in 1998, primarily to market and sell the patented Pro-lock valve locking device. Pro-lock was conceived by Neil Blair, who remains MD of Pro-lock Safety Limited, our umbrella company, now based in Jersey C.I. Pro-lock was designed to replace any known Valve Lockout system. It's easy to use and "Cost Effective ". Pro-lock was the first colour-coded Lockout. It is stand-alone, but can also support additional security, or fit seamlessly into existing Permit to Work systems. What impact will the recent activities in Venezuela have on the global crude oil trade? At the hight of its production, Venezuela produced 2 million barrels per day. This output was last seen in 2016. More recent figures, November 2025, put the output at 820,000 barrels per day. Wood Mackenzie, an energy intelligence group, believe additional Venezuelan barrels could pressure Brent prices below mid-to high £50 per barrel (bbl) of oil in the first quarter of 2026.
