Yesterday's webinar left us with a lot to reflect on. Lisa Christopher shared something that stayed with everyone in the room, her very first shift as an enrolled nurse in aged care. Alone. No RN on site. A resident with a head strike. And policies that were nowhere to be found when it mattered most. That moment is exactly why AI clinical knowledge tools like Polly. Lifeview Residential Care's AI agent built on their own policies are so meaningful. Not as a tech project, but as a genuine safety net for the people doing the hardest work. "A buddy that never goes home." That's how Lisa described it. Available every shift, consistent, non-judgmental, regardless of a staff member's background or experience level. Big thanks to Lisa, Ruby Pulvirenti from Druid AI, and Murtuza Kapadia and Brendan Snowden from our own ProcessX team for a genuinely special conversation. Missed it? Reach out and we'll send the link. #AgedCare #AIinHealthcare #ClinicalGovernance #AgedCareInnovation #NursingLeadership #DigitalHealth #AustralianAgedCare #DruidAI #Homecare #AgedcareAustralia #HomecareAustralia #NDIS #AgeingAustralia
Yesterday's webinar was thought provoking. A heartfelt thankyou to Lisa Christopher, whose honesty, experience, and passion for aged care made our How AI Agents Strengthen Clinical Care in Aged Care webinar truly special. Lisa opened up about her very first shift as an enrolled nurse in aged care. Placed in charge of a facility alone, with no registered nurse on site. When a resident fell and sustained a head strike, she had nowhere to turn. The policies existed but finding them quickly in that moment was impossible. It's a story that stayed with us, and it's exactly why this work matters. After 15+ years in the industry, Lisa has seen accountability in aged care transform from resting on the individual nurse to spanning entire governance structures. But the day-to-day challenge remains the same: staff need answers in the moment, not buried across multiple folders or policies documents in the share drive. That's where Polly comes in. Lifeview Residential Care's AI clinical knowledge agent, built on their own policies and procedures. As Lisa described it, Polly is "a buddy that never goes home". Available every shift, without judgment, giving every staff member the same clear, consistent answer regardless of their background or experience level. The impact goes beyond compliance: · New starters feel less overwhelmed in those critical first months · Agency staff can access facility-specific knowledge immediately · Staff whose first language isn't English get equal access to information · Senior staff spend less time shadowing and more time with residents Lisa also reminded us that this isn't just technology for large enterprise providers. Lifeview operates four facilities, and they've shown it's absolutely achievable at a small to medium scale. As Lisa put it: "The question isn't –‘Are we big enough?' ‘It's can we afford not to?'" Thank you, Lisa, for your insights, your expertise, and your unwavering focus on what matters most: better outcomes for residents, and better experiences for the people who care for them. Also, a big thankyou to Ruby Pulvirenti from Druid AI for leading the conversation and my partner Murtuza Kapadia who shared ProcessX's experiences with our work with other providers.
