The smartphone is the most consequential invention of the 21st century. It’s also the only one people are actively trying to use less of. That tension is the whole story of where wearable AI goes next. The people adopting wearables aren’t doing it because the technology is impressive. They’re doing it because they have a deep, unmet need. The first wave missed that - trying to invent the future instead of solving one clear user problem.
