We’ve had some extra brainpower at the Pargo office this week. A group of Harvard Business School students arrived in Cape Town to do a deep dive into our business. They’re spending the next few weeks with us, getting under the hood of our operations and helping us improve our customer insights. There is a unique energy that happens when you mix global academic rigor with the reality and complexity of African logistics. A few things I’ve enjoyed so far: - Fresh Eyes: When you’ve been building for 11 years, you can develop blind spots. These students ask the right questions that force us to re-evaluate our assumptions. - Theory vs. Reality: It’s one thing to study "Scaling in Emerging Markets" in a Boston classroom, it’s another thing entirely to solve for a delivery in a township with no formal addresses and a fuel hike hitting the pumps. - Customer Obsession: We are deep-diving into why our users choose us and the data they’re surfacing is fascinating.
