A few snapshots from a great World Agri-Tech 2026 conference last week 📸🌱 Our team had a fantastic time in San Francisco meeting founders, investors, partners, and friends across the agri-food space. Lots of thoughtful conversations, fresh perspectives, and explore what’s next in agriculture, especially in these volatile times. We were especially glad to see Ag Playbook 2.0 launch around the summit, an effort to help bring more clarity and shared understanding to how ag innovation gets developed and scaled. We also had a great time at our book-themed reception, where we asked our community for their favorite titles and shared 10 of these at the event. 📖 Thanks to everyone we crossed paths with at WAT. Until next time. Ingo Kloeckner, Sara Olson, PhD, Derek Norman, Karyn Riegel, Pamela Sisson, Paimun (PJ) Amini, Kathryn Cook, Niyati Gupta

As usual far too few pictures, except for the terribly lit on stage ones (thanks Steve Simitzis!) Had a blast connecting with friends old and new, after the hype you're left with the real builders and that was the crew assembled at The Future of Protein Production/ Cultured Meat Symposium. Sadly the blizzard meant I missed most of day 1 in Chicago but here were some of my takeaways 🌎 Glenn Hurowitz grounding us is the fact that animal protein has the single biggest impact on carbon emissions (14 gigatons of carbon, equivalent to China's emissions) ⛓ Heather Courtney reinforcing that supply chain resiliency will necessitate innovation in food (as we're seeing with new initiative launched by USDA and MOW) And despite being in different verticals, shared a common vision with my fellow panelists: Tony Martens on delivering real value to the customer (which does not equal commodity pricing) and Sean Lacoursiere on being as capital light as possible on the path to proving out your business model #FPP #CMS #Chicago #Futureoffood #forkandgood

We’re proud to see the cultivated meat conversation evolving, both on the ground at The Future of Protein Production / Cultured Meat Symposium and in recent coverage from Green Queen Media highlighting where the sector stands today. As our CEO, Niyati Gupta shared after Chicago, the themes are getting sharper: 🌎 Animal protein accounts for ~14 gigatons of emissions annually, one of the largest levers in climate impact. ⛓ Supply chain resiliency is no longer theoretical, innovation in food production is becoming a strategic priority. 💡 Real value creation matters. Not commodity pricing. Not hype. At Fork & Good, we’ve always believed that cultivated meat must work within the existing meat ecosystem, improving yield, functionality, and consistency for food manufacturers. That means: • Capital-efficient platforms • Commercial partnerships early • Creating Economic Value As our co-founders Niyati Gupta, Gabor Forgacs and Patricia Bubner, PhD, note in Green Queen Media's recent article - this is a pivotal moment for the sector. The next phase belongs to companies that can scale responsibly, partner strategically, and deliver measurable economics (article: https://lnkd.in/e8THqkQA). We’re building for that phase. #FutureOfFood #CultivatedMeat #FoodInnovation #SupplyChain #ClimateTech #ForkAndGood https://lnkd.in/eM7PUvKM

The cultivated meat community is chugging along a bumpy road these days. As a young industry, it requires financial support, yet the present investment climate is not favorable for startups, particularly outside the artificial intelligence sector. Additionally, political winds are blowing in the wrong direction. So how to navigate these challenges and demonstrate to investors that a bright future is still possible. As a co-founder of Fork & Good (and Modern Meadow, the first commercial entity in this space), I believe one key to success lies in meaningful partnerships, with 1+1>2. I am proud and excited that Fork & Good is executing on such a program. Our recent  merger with Orbillion Bio, another eminent cultivated meat company, exemplifies this approach (https://lnkd.in/emxeejF2). This acquisition combines our strengths—one focused on beef and the other on pork—allowing us to access a broader market with an expanded product portfolio. Furthermore, our partnership with Nutreco (https://www.nutreco.com/), a company with extensive expertise in cell culture medium manufacturing (among others), and Extracellular (https://lnkd.in/e3ucMR9u), a bioprocess CDMO serving the cultivated meat sector, enhances our capabilities (https://lnkd.in/eNi-Psyw). Together, we are leveraging our combined expertise to tackle the complexities of cultivated meat production, which requires a massively interdisciplinary approach that no single company can manage economically. (The adjusted formula here is 1+1+1>3.)
