LEaT con 2025 — what an inspiring expirience! 3 days in Hamburg — over 60 in-depth conversations with sound engineers, system techs, and audio professionals. We demonstrated Open Sound Meter live, exchanged ideas, gathered valuable feedback, ran real-world tests, and came home with new insights and collaborations ahead. A special highlight was Pavel’s presentation on the AVCon Speakers stage, where he shared his real-life measurement workflow and practical use of Open Sound Meter. It was our first time not only at LEaT con but also with our own booth — and we’re leaving with a clear sense of direction and strong confirmation that simplicity, speed, and reliability truly matter in measurement tools. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared stories, or just came to say hi 💙 And an extra thank-you to the LEaT con team for organizing such a welcoming and professional event. See you soon — next stop: ISE 2026 in Barcelona. #OpenSoundMeter #LEaTcon2025 #SoundEngineering

The new version 1.5.2! A few more fixes should not wait until the next big update. • improved delay finder • fix for occasional crash on opening big projects • fix for infrequent crash on long-time running SPL meter • fix for Apply estimated delay shortcut (now Cmd/Ctrl + 9) If you want to support feature development, you can do so with PayPal: https://lnkd.in/dbP8EpQb iPad version: https://lnkd.in/gWYXgEs Desktop versions: https://lnkd.in/dDZ6zh7F "The opposite of war isn't peace... The new version 1.5.1! Despite many improvements and fixes included in version 1.5 with the valuable community's help, I've found a couple more and decided to release a fix for them immediately. • Fixes Primarily, it relates to the Windows 11 driver problem. Other small fixes and optimizations. • Equalizer source This update also includes one improvement for the equalization source. It makes it possible to turn on/off individual filters in their properties, without opening the EQ group. Open Sound Meter reposted this
Here it is! The new version 1.5! • Equalizer source Allows applying equalization on a stored or real-time running measurement. • Leq The level chart now has a new option to display Leq SPL history for up to 10 minutes. • Low-pass filter in measurements Useful for removing unneeded high-frequency energy from both channels when working with the low end only. • Filters New filter types have been added: shelf, notch and band-pass. Furthermore, filters could be adjusted by polarity and delay. The 4th-order all-pass filter now has an adjustable Q factor. • Generator Have you ever forgotten to select output channels in the generator? Next time it will warn you :) • Flat line In the standard line source, you can add a flat line. I'm using it, for example, when I want to invert the measurement completely. Changes • Measurement won't unselect when you click on it the second time. To deselect it, use a right mouse click. • Shortcut Cmd+E (Ctrl+E) is used to add an equalizer source • Shortcut for estimated delay changed to Cmd+D (Ctrl+D) Improvements, Fixes and Optimisations • Group and Equalizer properties are available by clicking on the header of the corresponding group • Filter out mathematical noise in convolution If you want to support feature development, you can do so with PayPal: https://lnkd.in/dbP8EpQb iPad version: https://lnkd.in/gWYXgEs Desktop versions: https://lnkd.in/dDZ6zh7F "The opposite of war isn't peace...
