Today marks an exciting new chapter: Mountain Protocol has been acquired by Anchorage Digital, home to the only federally chartered digital asset bank in the US. Joining Mountain was a deeply intentional decision. I wanted to help build something enduring—rooted in regulation, transparency, and innovation. With USDM, we launched the first-ever yield-bearing stablecoin, also subject to prudential oversight, establishing a new financial primitive that is now shaping the future of capital markets. Anchorage Digital is the natural next step of this journey. As the home to the only federally chartered digital asset bank in the U.S., it offers the regulatory foundation and institutional-grade infrastructure needed to scale that vision even further. Together, we are building a world-class stablecoin business—designed to serve institutions, unlock new use cases, and bring the full potential of digital assets to global markets. Thrilled that Martin Carrica, Matías Caricato, myself and the entire Mountain team will be joining Sergio Mello, and the broader Anchorage Digital organization to scale this new business.
