Another HMPS in the books! A few key takeaways from HMPS 2026 that especially stuck with me: 🌟 The growing importance of balancing strategic thinking with human-centered healthcare marketing. The conversations reinforced how critical thoughtful problem-solving, strong cross-functional partnerships, and a deep understanding of the broader business landscape are, while never losing sight of the people and patients at the center of the work. 🌟 The combined approach to brand and performance marketing is becoming essential. The strongest organizations are balancing short-term acquisition goals with long-term brand building, recognizing that brand trust improves product line performance over time. 🌟 AI is moving from hype to real-world application. It’s no longer just about generating content. AI is actively reshaping how patients discover care, evaluate brands, and make healthcare decisions. Grateful to continue learning alongside such thoughtful leaders shaping the future of healthcare and marketing.
HMPS 2026 was a success! MKR was in Salt Lake City with Community Health Network to explore the latest in healthcare marketing and strategy. With trust serving as an essential driver of the patient experience, new technologies and AI implementation are creating both opportunities and challenges. Ultimately, healthcare marketers help save lives; our imperative is to create systems that inform and educate people across the country on how to access world-class care. We are excited to share these insights from HMPS with our team and clients. Thank you to Maggie Branson and Eddie Metzger for representing the Makers!
RareOne was built around the belief that independent agencies shouldn’t have to sacrifice their identity to grow, and we’re proud to be part of a group that values great work, strong culture and lasting client relationships.
Exclusive: Three US indie agencies, Mighty Union, MKR and RingoFire have come together under a new operating platform called RareOne. Matthew Naffah, formerly CEO of @Mighty Union, now serves as founding partner and CEO of RareOne. He says the aim of the company is to help independent agencies scale more efficiently while maintaining their own leadership, culture, client relationships and specialist expertise. “RareOne hands them back their passion,” he says. "Healthcare marketing saves lives." Healthcare marketing is about so much more than campaigns and metrics. It’s about helping connect people to the care, resources and services they need when it matters most. Thanks for representing MKR at #HMPS, Eddie! We’re excited to bring these insights and takeaways back to our clients.
I'm doing that thing. I am that guy. This is a cheesy LinkedIn post about how a climb up a mountain is a metaphor for the work we do. I just wrapped up my first Healthcare Marketing & Physician Strategies Summit in Salt Lake City and I walked away with so much. We always tell ourselves that "it's just marketing." A phrase that has become my mantra for when the going get's tough or work is stressful. But it's more than that. Healthcare marketing saves lives. Our work is instrumental in connecting people to life saving services and preventative care programs — from early screenings to clinical trials. And saving lives is not simple. It's not a walk in the park. There are highs and lows. Treacherous lows. Sometimes it rains. Sometimes there is no sun when you reach the peak. But there is a path forward. As marketers, we can heavily influence the healthcare experience. We often control what people see first as they explore care options. The major shift we must consider is how our influence extends to the rest of the patient experience. Into the waiting rooms and doctor's offices. In the follow up visits and hard conversations. To ringing the bell and celebrating survival. Healthcare marketing is always changing, and this year's conference taught me that despite all the advances in AI, data segmentation, audience targeting, creative strategy, and media management we must remind ourselves a simple truth: we are also patients. We have to ask, how would we want to learn about healthcare? So, as I take in the views and reflect on the last few days, I'm excited to think about what's next. From creating better experiences to designing systems rooted in empathy and trust. Let's have the difficult conversations. Let's save lives.

It’s the first weekend of May, which means Rev Indy at IMS. 🏎️ So much food, so much music and so much fun. Still feeling the buzz from the oxygen bar! Thanks to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for once again, getting our engines fired up and ready for the best month in motorsports. #ThisIsMay #RevIndy
Happy 5-year Makerversary to Eddie Metzger! 🎉 Since his last Makerversary, Eddie was promoted to Director of Data Insights — and it’s easy to see why. The 14th Annual Republic Airways Plane Pull is one of those events that reminds you why community partnerships matter. As the official marketing partner and a proud Platinum Sponsor, MKR is honored to play a role in making this event happen. The Plane Pull is more than just pulling a plane. It is about directly supporting children in our community through incredible organizations like A Kid Again, Indiana Wish, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St Vincent, and Riley Children's Foundation. There is something rewarding about partnering with clients who care about the same things we do, especially when it means helping kids in our own community. We are thankful for the trust, proud of the impact, and grateful to play a role in supporting local families.
Happy 1-year Makerversary to Cole Chafin! 🎉 As Marketing Data Analyst, he carefully combs through spreadsheets to unveil valuable insights that inform our media, strategy and creative decisions. Cole has used his tenacity, curiosity and expertise to lead our team in creating stellar work and delivering meaningful results. We’re so grateful to have him on our team and look forward to what he’ll accomplish before his next Makerversary!
Spring. It’s refreshing, revitalizing, renewing. So why not take a page out of Indy DNR’s book and restore your inner peace with some time outdoors? Out on the water, toes in the grass, eyes on the clouds — whichever you prefer. 🌱 Find what makes you happy, and make the most of your time on earth. #EarthDay 🌎
