Health Month is back at Mintos! 🌿 Every year, we dedicate a full month to healthy habits, well-being, and movement - encouraging our #MintosPeople to focus on one of the most important aspects of life: health. At Mintos, this comes naturally. Many of our colleagues are already actively involved in sports, exercise, and mindfulness practices, so Health Month is all about building on that momentum together. We kicked things off with an insightful session from our colleague Atis Jansons, who shared lessons from his experience in professional running. He highlighted the often-overlooked importance of recovery in training and shared practical tips that everyone can apply in their daily routines. To keep the energy up, we’ve also introduced a smoothie station in the office: making it easy to grab a nutritious, healthy snack on the go 🍓🥬 And this is just the beginning: there’s plenty more to come throughout the month. Stay tuned!

A banking licence is often seen as an achievement. In reality, it changes how a company operates day to day. At the Fintech Latvia Association x Sorainen event, our Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Inese Lazdovska, joined Latvijas Banka and industry peers to discuss the process beyond the application itself. What came through clearly: a banking licence doesn't fix a business model. It changes what you're held to. Regulators aren't just asking whether you operate well - they want to know you hold up when things get hard. The scrutiny goes deeper, across governance, capital, and how decisions get made under pressure. For Mintos, this is about building a platform with fewer dependencies. Parts of what we do today rely on third-party infrastructure. Taking this step means more direct control over how we operate, and the ability to expand what we can offer investors. We’re building on a regulated foundation that already serves nearly 700,000 investors, and taking the next step from a position of scale, experience, and a model that already works. Thanks to Fintech Latvia Association and Sorainen for a practical and honest discussion.
Second Fintech Breakfast of 2026 on banking licence for fintechs in Latvia and the topic clearly resonates.🇱🇻 A strong signal of where the market is heading. The morning opened with two focused keynotes: Agnese Alaine from Latvijas Banka walked through the regulatory framework, expectations, and licensing process for specialised credit institutions, followed by Ramona Miglane, Partner at Sorainen, who shared practical guidance on what it really takes to move from ambition to authorisation. We then moved into an open discussion and Q&A, bringing together perspectives from regulators and market players - Agnese Alaine and Nora Dambure (Latvijas Banka), Ruslanas Telnovas (VIALET / ex-mano.bank, sharing experience from a specialised bank in Lithuania 🇱🇹), Valdis Siksnis (INDEXO - a neobank), Inese Lazdovska (Mintos - an international investment platform and a bank to be), and Jakub Więcław (Magnetiq Bank - as a challenger of the specialized banking licence idea), moderated by Ramona Miglane. The conversation was exactly what it should be - honest, practical, and grounded in reality. Key takeaways from the morning: ✅ A banking licence is not a shortcut to growth - it’s a long-term strategic commitment ✅ Lower entry barriers don’t mean lower expectations - capital, governance, AML and execution still define success ✅ Licensing is a multi-year, multi-stream process - preparation starts long before the application ✅ The real question is not how to get a licence, but whether your business is ready for one What stood out most is that the ecosystem is maturing. Less hype, more discipline. Less chasing licences, more building sustainable businesses. A big thank you to all speakers and participants for the openness and depth of discussion. Special thanks to Sorainen team Inese Eņģele & Inguna Apsīte for hosting the event and supporting the ecosystem! 🚀 Looking forward to the next Fintech Breakfast. #fintech #banking #latvia #regulation #fintechlatvia

Pension systems across Europe are under growing pressure, and that pressure isn’t going away. As populations age and the workforce shrinks, the gap between what traditional pensions can provide and what people will need is becoming more visible. This was the focus of a recent panel our CEO and Co-Founder, Martins Sulte, was invited to join alongside the Bank of Latvia and INDEXO, grounded in new research by the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. The direction is clear: there is no single solution. Long-term sustainability will depend on a combination of structural reform, stronger labour force participation, and economic growth. But just as importantly, the role of the individual investor is changing. Relying on pensions alone is unlikely to be enough for the next generation. Building financial security will increasingly mean combining multiple approaches, with long-term investing playing a central role. This shift is already underway. Investors are looking for ways to diversify, generate additional income, and take a more active role in shaping their financial future. At Mintos, we see this not as a trend, but as a structural change in how people approach investing. Thank you to INDEXO for bringing together such a relevant and forward-looking discussion.

We had a great time representing Mintos at RTU Career Day in Riga this month 🙌 It was amazing to meet so many motivated students, recent graduates, and future professionals, and to have genuinely engaging conversations about careers, growth, and what matters most in the workplace today. This year’s event brought together RTU, RBS, and RSU for the first time, creating an even broader space for connection between talent and employers. With a strong focus on well-being at work, it was especially meaningful to discuss not just career paths, but also how to build sustainable, balanced professional lives. At Mintos, we’re always looking to connect with curious, driven people who want to make an impact - and events like this remind us how much exciting talent is out there. 🚀

Mintos is joining 27 organisations in a national effort to strengthen financial literacy in Latvia - and we're proud to be part of it. During Financial Literacy Week 2026, we're signing a memorandum of cooperation led by the Bank of Latvia to strengthen financial literacy and promote responsible financial choices. This cooperation supports the implementation of Latvia’s Financial Literacy Strategy 2021-2027, with a stronger emphasis on collaboration, clearer responsibilities, and focused action. The focus going forward includes: • Helping students and educators build stronger financial skills • Encouraging a more informed investment culture • Promoting responsible borrowing and addressing financial difficulties • Supporting research on financial literacy At Mintos, we see financial education as a key part of long-term financial wellbeing. While this collaboration is rooted in Latvia, the need for better financial literacy is shared across Europe - and we’re committed to being part of that progress. 👉 For more on this initiative: https://lnkd.in/dcr4rQTA

We’re thrilled to announce that crypto ETPs are now available on Mintos 🚀 With this launch, investors can gain exposure to cryptocurrencies through regulated exchange-traded products issued by established providers such as BlackRock iShares and VanEck, starting from just €5. By continuously adding new asset classes to our multi-asset platform, we aim to make it easier for investors to build diversified, long-term portfolios in one place. Expanding into crypto ETPs reflects how the investment landscape is changing - and how Mintos is evolving alongside it. This launch also strengthens our collaboration with Upvest, whose technology helps power the investment infrastructure behind this new offering.
