We’re looking for a motivated, creative marketing intern to join the team at Miloco HQ in London. If you’re passionate about online storytelling in a creative music environment, this is a chance to get hands-on experience! What You’ll Do: • Assist with social media planning, posting, and engagement (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook) • Help create and find online content, including artist features, behind-the-scenes clips, and studio features. • Support newsletter campaigns and website updates • Help maintain brand consistency across social media platforms. When the setting is this good, the music tends to follow. This week’s #FeatureFriday takes us to a remarkable residential studio tucked away in the heart of the Sierra Nevada. Immersed in the spectacular Sierra Nevada mountain range, Space Mountain is the brainchild of legendary producer Youth, inspired by some of his favourite rooms from around the world including the infamous Olympic Studio 2. The studio has a fantastic-sounding control room centred around a valve 32 channel TL Audio VTC console, a large day-lit live room and three isolation booths filled with backline. Huge windows along the left-hand side provide spectacular views of the surroundings and make for a hugely inspiring setting. The rest of the house has numerous interesting spaces that can also be used for tracking, providing many creative options for recording. Space Mountain’s 10-bed accommodation is secluded and luxurious, but still within walking distance of the village of Albuñuelas and only half an hour's drive from the beautiful city of Granada. For this week’s #FeatureFriday we’re paying a visit to North Hollywood, and the simply stunning NRG Recording Studios. With over 30 years’ experience making hit records, NRG Recording’s 2 incredible tracking rooms have to be ranked amongst the greatest studios on the planet. Studio A is a 5000 square foot facility, featuring a large tracking room with a Yamaha C7 Grand, 3 iso booths and producer lounge. The control room is centred around a custom built 64-input Neve 8068 with Flying Faders, with monitoring from a pair of Dynaudio M4s. The Moroccan-themed Studio B is another monster tracking space, with a hand distressed walnut floor and 25 foot ceilings - housing a Neve 8078 with 24 channels of 1073 pres and custom Dynaudio C4s for monitoring. Both studios have their own private lounges, with Studio A also benefitting from a full kitchen/dining area and tournament pool table. The studio has a huge range of gear on board which can be used across the rooms according to the demands of your project, or the sound you’re trying to achieve. NRG is located in North Hollywood which is home to the NoHo Arts District; 1 square mile of live venues, theatres, dance studios and art galleries. Hip cafes, gastropubs, and tiki bars are clustered alongside vintage stores and tattoo parlors on Lankershim and Magnolia boulevards–and all that combined with centralised access to the rest of town certainly earns NoHo a spot amongst LA’s hidden gems. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the studio has been frequented by some of the biggest names in the industry, from Slash, Bon Jovi and the Red Hot Chili Peppers to Jay Z, Nas and Kanye. For this week’s #FeatureFriday we head to the seaside town of Margate, dropping in on a very special seafront residential; welcome to The Albion Rooms! The Albion Rooms was originally set up by The Libertines, situated in a stunning Victorian townhouse overlooking the historic Cliftonville oval bandstand and gardens. The studio comprises a control room, large live room and booth. Designed by Studio People, it’s completed to a really high finish throughout, and centres around an SSL AWS 928 console with ATC monitoring. The live room, warm and light-filled, offers enough space for a full band or a string section, while the adjoining isolation booth is perfect for focused vocal takes or tight drum tracking. Combined with a fantastic selection of instruments and gear, it’s a space built for serious work - but with an unmistakable dose of Libertine cool. On the residential side, The Albion Rooms offers a decadent stay for studio guests with uniquely designed bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms adding that extra bit of privacy. For this week’s #FeatureFriday we head to the mountains of Minas Gerais - one of the most beautiful landscapes of Brazil, to visit a studio that’s nothing short of a work of art. Welcome to Sonastério! More than just a recording studio, Sonasterio is a house of creation, designed to enhance the natural expressiveness of each artist. The building covers 8,000 sq ft, offering three guest bedrooms and five-star amenities. 1,500sq ft is reserved for the studio, which has 20ft high ceilings. The control room features an SSL AWS 924, flanked by a pair of Augspurger Duo8s with 12” subs and a solid selection of outboard. The 750 sq ft live room has custom-ceiling clouds fitted to its 20ft high ceilings and is fitted with a pro lighting grid to facilitate video shoots alongside an 80 sq ft iso booth, all of which is set against a backdrop of those stunning panoramic mountain views. Sonasterio’s location allows you to get away from the city and give your creative side some space. For this week’s #FeatureFriday we head to Miami Beach to meet a brand new studio joining the roster, this is Alacran Studios! For this week’s #FeatureFriday we’re in Brazil, visiting a studio and smart hotel where anything is possible and convention is ‘out of office’. Located in Santa Catarina, Elephant Office is a frankly audacious project, designed from the ground-up as one of the best structured studios on the planet. The complex is a giant "box of mirrors," housing a 3-storey mansion, 3 studio rooms and luxurious themed accommodation. Studio A, the centrepiece, centres around a coveted SSL XL 9000K; one of 50 ever produced and believed to be the only one in Brazil. Flanking the console sits a pair of Augspurger 215Hs powered by Bryston and Crown amps, and the industry-revered ATC SCM25A Pros for the nearfield. The live room measures 50m2 and offers exemplary acoustics as well as DMX LED Strips and moving heads & strobes which altogether make the space a perfect stage for live recordings, video productions, tour rehearsals and much more. For this week’s #FeatureFriday we’re in Nashville, dropping in to Dark Horse Recording! As the name suggests, this secluded residential studio packs a serious punch; set amongst scenic farmland, featuring a renowned selection of vintage analogue and modern digital equipment, and a prestigious client list of who’s who from Dolly Parton to Taylor Swift. The studios embrace the beauty of the area, with large windows across the board that allow you to enjoy the stunning views whilst you work. The centrepiece of the complex is the Lodge Studio, with its 33ft high cathedral ceiling and 40 channel Trident series 80 desk, renowned for its musical EQ section and use on many classic rock records. Despite its size, the room is exquisite acoustically and suitable not only for demanding tracking sessions but also the most intimate recording requirements. Next-door, the Barefoot Room was designed to be endlessly configurable and therefore perfect for overdubs, editing and mixing. For this week’s #FeatureFriday we head to River Studios Cologne! River Studios offer a symbiosis of analogue treasures and state of the art digital components, giving you the best of both worlds when it comes to your recording workflow. River Studios' main room – The Hall, has an 86m2 live room that is comfortably capable of accommodating up to 35 musicians, and can also be used as an intimate live venue for anything from gigs to live TV. The room houses the studio’s Steinway D, Hammond B3 with Leslie and a Fender Rhodes 73 Sparkle Top. The control room is centred around an SSL AWS 900, with Westlake HR7 monitoring, EAR Monoblocks, Pulteq EQs and a Fairchild 670. Studio B is equally as well spec’d, with a 24 channel Studer 902 console, JBL 4355 monitors, Jaguar 670m and another Fairchild 670. The team have been hard at work installing Dolby Atmos capabilities into the complex, and with the addition of Studio 3, can now offer no less than three Dolby Atmos (7.1.4) certified studios in the facility. The studio’s central location in Cologne means there’s plenty to do and explore in your downtime, from chocolate museums to incredible bars, eateries and architecture.
