Today we are proud to share that Oasis’ new website is live! With support from the California Access to Justice Commission, we set out to strengthen how low-income LGBTQ+ immigrants access legal aid online. In partnership with lover studio, we reimagined our website as a more accessible, user-centered hub for legal resources and community support. At Oasis, we understand that access to justice begins with access to information, and our site now reflects these values. Many low-income immigrants primarily rely on mobile devices to obtain information. Our new website was built with a mobile-first structure and simplified navigation to ensure that critical information is easier to find and understand. These design decisions can make a significant difference in how people navigate online resources. Language access is also a crucial component of access to justice. In recognition of Language Access Month, our website now features Spanish and Portuguese translations because these are the primary languages of the communities we serve. We are proud to share that these are not automated translations, but carefully reviewed to ensure culturally accurate information. Our new website reflects what’s possible through thoughtful design, strong partnerships, and advocacy. Explore our website: oasislegalservices.org

  • Dear friends, partners, and collaborators, As the year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you. 2025 marked our first full year as an official design studio, and it was a year of learning, recalibrating, and growing into what lover studio is becoming. We navigated new kinds of projects, deeper partnerships, and the realities of building something sustainable with empathy at the center. None of those leaps would have been possible without the trust and generosity of our small but mighty community. Whether you worked with us closely, collaborated behind the scenes, referred someone our way, or simply cheered us on, we’re immensely grateful. You’ve shaped not just our work, but our dream of what’s possible when design is rooted in community. As we look toward the new year, we’re excited to continue refining our practice and opening the door to new ideas and collaborations. If you’re thinking about a project, or something still taking shape, we’d love to be part of that conversation when the time feels right. lover studio will be offline from December 22 through January 9, returning refreshed and ready for the year ahead. Thank you for being part of our story. ♡ Happy Holidays, lover studio

Now and always, lover studio stands with immigrants. In a political climate where immigrants are dehumanized, where ICE raids and hateful rhetoric seek to vilify and erase these crucial members of our communities, it’s paramount to show up with care, commitment, and action. We are beyond honored to announce a new collaboration with Oasis Legal Services, a dream organization doing vital and life-saving work to support LGBTQ+ immigrants and asylum seekers fleeing persecution and violence. Oasis serves as a beacon of hope, offering legal representation, advocacy, and holistic support to those who need it most. Over the next few months, we will be leading the design and development of Oasis's new website — a project close to our hearts and one we approach with deep respect. If you’re wondering how to make a difference right now, please consider donating to Oasis’ Pride Campaign. Their work is essential, especially in this moment when so many face heightened threats to their safety and dignity. Stand with Immigrants. Stand with Humanity. • As lover studio hits the halfway mark of 2025, we’re taking a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate how far we’ve come — and to set our sights on what’s next. So far, this year has been a mix of hard work and trust. We’ve locked in mission-driven partnerships, launched new retainers, and expanded our social media presence. We’re deeply grateful to our clients and collaborators for believing in us and for the impact we get to create. At A Glance: ❤️ Served 10 unique clients across 14 projects (some clients with multiple projects). ❤️ Secured 2 ongoing retainers since launching our retainer program in April 2025. ❤️ Built deep, supportive client relationships leading to wonderful word-of-mouth referrals. ❤️ Expanded our reach with new social media channels. We’re inspired and ready to keep building — it’s only going to get bigger and bolder from here. Here’s to the rest of 2025 and beyond! Ready to shake things up in 2025? ❤️ Let’s connect and bring your vision to life. Book a time with us here: [https://lnkd.in/gR9k8SaZ].

    • A collage-style graphic featuring two smiling women on a Zoom call, one in the top right and the other below her. Both women have playful digital stickers around their faces —party hats on the top woman and purple heart emojis on the bottom woman. The background uses soft beige and purple tones with textured paper and tape collage elements. The text 'lover studio midyear retreat' is spelled out in mixed typography: a handwritten style for 'lover studio,' mustard yellow handwritten letters for 'midyear,' and round white letter beads spelling 'mid year retreat.' At the bottom left, the website 'loverstudio.design' is written in a casual script, and beneath it is the quote: 'Design is our way of caring: A powerful tool to uplift unheard voices, build community, and create lasting change.' The overall feel is warm, creative, and intimate.

⭐ lover studio turns 1! ⭐ At lover studio, design is an act of care — and a tool for collective liberation. Drawing from our lived experiences as LGBTQ+ creatives and as a first-generation daughter of Colombian immigrants, we approach every project with a deep commitment to voices at the margins. Our work is trauma-informed, multilingual, and culturally rooted. We don’t just create websites — we build digital spaces that center the complexity, brilliance, and resilience of communities. This past year, we've partnered with visionaries in public health, education, and storytelling to bring more intention, beauty, and justice into the digital world. As we celebrate one year of designing with heart, we’re grateful and excited to see what this second year of business will bring! #loverstudio #designwithcare #websitedesign #websites #latinxdesigner #queerownedbusiness #socialimpactdesign #uxdesign #collectiveliberation #designforjustice

    • A textured paper background with small gold star stickers scattered along the right side. Text on the left reads: “We believe design is an act of care — and a tool for collective liberation. Rooted in our lived experiences as queer, first-generation creatives of color, our work is guided by a trauma-informed, multilingual, and culturally responsive approach. We center the voices and visions of those most often pushed to the margins, not as an afterthought, but as the foundation of resilient, intuitive, and radically inclusive design.” Overlapping handwriting in lavender says “who is lover studio?”
    • A photo of Raini, head of product at lover studio, sitting at a desk with plants and records in the background. Overlayed text includes letter beads spelling “RAIN” (with partial letters), “head of product” in a handwritten font, and a section below reading: “XOXO. Frequent Browser Tab: Pinterest. Never Leaves House Without: Lip Liner.” A soft lipstick kiss graphic is on the right.
    • A photo of Michelle, head of design strategy at lover studio, sitting at a desk smiling with flowers in the background. Overlayed text includes letter beads spelling “MICHELLE,” “head of design strategy” in a handwritten font, and a section above reading: “Frequent Browser Tab: Google Flights. Never Leaves House Without: Passport.” An airplane graphic is on the left.
