After nearly two years at Klue, I finally did it. Wrote my first blog post 😅 If you're in competitive intelligence (or building AI workflows for any area of marketing tbh), you might find it useful. I wrote all about the importance of including an intelligence layer and a context layer in your AI builds. Without these two layers, your AI builds are at all sort of risk of retrieving the wrong data. Which we hate!! It was fun researching for this one and learning about the optimal size for things like context windows and retrieval chunks (spoiler alert: not too big!). Check out the Klue blog for more. Broke down the ideal stack here 👇

We've been sounding the alarm about zombie agents 🧟 And the response has been... let's just say the problem is more widespread than even we expected. So we went a level deeper. Not just what's broken, but what the fix actually looks like in practice. It comes down to two layers that most AI builds for competitive intelligence are missing entirely: an intelligence layer that turns raw signals into structured, queryable truth, and a context layer that lets your team's expertise shape what the system generates going forward. We built a visual that breaks down exactly what that stack looks like at each layer, and a full breakdown of what good actually means when you're building each one, including what to look for in extraction quality, retrieval, and cross-output consistency. Just a little peek for the AI builders for competitive intelligence right now!

Klue has spawned zombies that will eat your brains... Hold up, apologies, I saw the marketing material and got carried away - my bad, zombies will definitely not eat your brains. But now I have your attention (brilliant hook right, you definitely thought there were zombies coming for your brains), here comes the ingenuis segway. Zombie agents are real. And right now they are confidently and systematically destroying CI programs everywhere: 🧟 Sourcing battlecards from broken links that 404'd months ago 🧟 Weighting a 2023 sales call the same as one from last week 🧟 Hallucinating competitor features that never existed 🧟 Ironing over contradicting sources and picking a side without telling anyone Your reps trust them. Your leaders trust them. And even in the scariest circumstances… PMMs and CI leaders trust them too. Humans would usually catch when something didn’t feel right and this same human judgement becomes more, not less important, in the world of AI. Agents won’t. Too often they'll produce confident nonsense and repeat it like fact. So instead of fixing bad CI, an emerging risk is that AI just scales it, the only sure-fire way this works is if what you plug in is already trusted. It's pressure-tested, up-to-date and something your own CI team would actually stand behind. The important stuff has met the human judgement bar. That’s the difference between answers that sound right and answers you can trust in a deal. Give your builds a brain 🧠 #competitiveintelligence #klue

The way CI gets done is changing fast. AI is reshaping how people approach the job: what they're building, how they're tackling jobs to be done, and where it's breaking down. We're running a study on exactly this and want to hear from people in the thick of it. If competitive intel is in your wheelhouse (full time or as part of a bigger role_ would love if you took 5 minutes. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gQQWnQrt Full results published as a free report. Will share it with everyone who takes part 🙏

Good Friday is starting to feel reaaaaaal good (you?) Most companies wind down before a long weekend... ...we're dropping job postings 🤷🏻♀️ If that energy resonates with you, keep reading. Klue's marketing team in our Van HQ is growing and we're looking for 2️⃣ people who are wired differently: 🔧 One who sees a manual process and immediately thinks "I can automate that" / a Marketing Automation Manager who'll build the AI-powered GTM engine our whole team runs on. HubSpot, n8n, Claude... the works. 📞 One who wakes up genuinely excited to make cold calls, an SDR, who doesn't need to be pushed, just pointed. You'll build prospect lists, learn how to research accounts, cold and warm call and leverage AI to accelerate success. An opportunity to grow through a program that actually invests in YOU. Both come with real ownership from day one. Link to apply in the comments 👇 Come join the dream team Katie Berg 🔎, Alexandra Barca, Kalle Sveder, Marwin O'Sullivan

Went on safari in Africa. Long way away. Came back feeling like I'd stepped out of a time machine. Claude took over Klue while I was gone. Not just eng - they've always been Claude Code junkies. This was GTM, G&A, everyone. Building, second-braining, patching workflows. Subject matter experts with a Claude buddy building for them. Some of what I came back to: one of our Win-Loss researchers needed more buyer interview clips for a report. So he just... built an entire Clips product. Auto-finds, creates, embeds interview clips into any report. A seller built a deal coaching assistant. Another built an agent to auto-update CRM after every meeting recorded with Granola, Gong, and Zoom. Customers are building battlecards and skills on top of Klue. Wild. Here's what I keep thinking about though. The building part is the easy part now. The hard part is context. Getting the right bits from the right sources - not just firehosing everything into an LLM and hoping it figures it out. That's when you get contradictions, different answers to the same question, watered-down goop. The teams who figure out their context layer are going to pull ahead fast. Agents are only as good as what they're built on. Don't build brainless zombie agents. 🧟

My team oversees AI builds and automations across the business. What keeps me up at night isn't the quality of the automations. It’s the quality of the data underneath them. Because when the data at the source is wrong — stale, unverified, irrelevant — everything we build on top of it comes into question. Every automation. Every decision a team makes based on what those systems tell them. Our marketing team is calling these zombie agents: AI workflows that operate with complete confidence on data they cannot verify, contextualize, or trust. 🧟♂️ And as someone who cares deeply about data integrity across every system we run, the name is uncomfortably accurate. The builds are only as good as what they’re built on. Give your builds a brain 🧠

when the Klue marketing team came up with the concept of a Zombie Agent during one of our friday afternoon brainstorms, we all laughed. But as we looked back at all the tactics we brainstormed, we kept coming back to the zombie idea. Why? Because it so perfectly symbolizes what an AI agent acts like when its fed on scattered, inaccurate data. A brainless monster! And in competitive intelligence, accuracy is paramount. The wrong piece of intel on a competitor can literally cost a seller a deal. But don't worry, we have a plan to take down these zombie agents 🧟 learn more at: klue dot com slash zombies :)

I ship AI agents and workflows at Klue for GTM every single day. ⠀ Demo bots. Email follow-ups. Competitive research. Meeting briefs. Dynamic ICP modeling. You name it, I've probably built it. ⠀ And after all of those builds, here's what I've learned. ⠀ The thing that makes or breaks an agent isn't the model. It isn't the prompt. It isn't even the workflow. ⠀ It's the data underneath it. ⠀ If the data isn't relevant, fresh, and retrieved accurately, nothing else matters. Your agent will hallucinate, miss context, or confidently hand back the wrong answer. ⠀ We just launched something every AI builder needs to see before they ship their next workflow.
