April 19–25 is Volunteer Recognition Week IM ABLE is powered by an incredible community of dedicated, passionate volunteers, and this last year, that impact has been nothing short of amazing. Over the past year: - 180+ volunteers - Nearly 800 hours of service - Support across weekly programs & special events At the heart of it all is a core group of about 35 volunteers who consistently show up, step in, and make things happen. Even more remarkable, 15 of those individuals serve on a weekly basis, contributing over 500 hours in FY2025 alone. Their commitment goes far beyond time. They build real relationships with our athletes and help create the welcoming, challenging, and inclusive environment that defines IM ABLE. We’re also incredibly grateful for our Board of Directors, whose leadership, guidance, and behind-the-scenes support help drive our mission forward every day. Whether you’ve given 1 hour or 100, please know this: we appreciate you more than words can express. You are the reason this community thrives. #NonprofitsGetItDone #VolunteerRecognitionWeek #IMABLE #CommunityStrong #Gratitude #VolunteerImpact #InclusionMatters

Last week, our Founder, Chris Kaag, was honored at a Veterans Pinning Ceremony led by Senator Judy Schwank. For those who know Chris, you know his service didn’t end when he took off the uniform. As a U.S. Marine and the founder of IM ABLE, he built something that continues to uplift veterans, strengthen our community, and create opportunities for others in the disability community. This recognition is a reflection of the legacy Chris created, one that continues to make an impact far beyond his time in the U.S. Marine Corps. It’s something our community feels every day. We’re incredibly proud of Chris, his vision, and his lifelong commitment to advocacy, and grateful to Senator Schwank for taking the time to honor him and all those who have served! #ChrisKaag #Veterans #Service #Community #Leadership #PinningCeremony #ServiceAboveSelf #VeteranSupport #MilitaryService
