We were delighted to partner with Ipsos B&A for a Public Sector Communications Workshop last week. Over 30 communication leaders from government departments and state bodies came together to examine campaign effectiveness and international best practice. A highlight was the Irish Effie winning Health Service Executive campaign, 'Taking Back Control’, delivered with the support of Iapi members Publicis Dublin and Core as well as Ipsos B&A. This case is an example of what's possible when creativity, research and media expertise come together around a shared public health goal and was honoured recently as an Effie Global Best of the Best contender. We look forward to building on this partnership with Ipsos B&A and public sector communication leaders. Luke Reaper | Niall McCaffrey | Jimmy Larsen
Today, in collaboration with IAPI - Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland, we brought together senior communications professionals from various Irish government departments and state agencies for a workshop dedicated to examining the distinct challenges faced in public sector communications. In today's challenging communications landscape, public sector organisations face unique demands, and our focus was on exploring how campaign effectiveness frameworks can help meet these challenges head-on. Through knowledge-sharing and interactive engagement, we delved into international case studies and global data examining what these insights mean for Irish public sector communications. The calibre of discussion and willingness to honestly share learnings across departments was a key foundation of the success for the morning. A huge thank you to all attendees who contributed such fascinating perspectives on their work and the complexities they navigate daily. Special thanks to Darina Carr from the Health Service Executive for her brilliant presentation on the Effie Award-winning smoking cessation campaign – a powerful example of effective public health communications in action. Looking forward to continuing these conversations! #PublicSector #CampaignEffectiveness #IAPI #GovernmentCommunications #HSE #Ireland #StrategicCommunications Niall McCaffrey, Jimmy Larsen, Luke Reaper, Neil Douglas, Deirdre Goulding Kelly Daniel Hazley, Niamh Doyle, Niall Carty, Kate Goldsmith, Ipsos

Todays Irish Marketing Podcast is here.... Robin shared a frank, no-excuses assessment of why so many agencies are struggling — and what the world's most progressive agencies are doing differently to stay irreplaceable. I also sat down with Brendan Almack and Lisa Woods from Wolfgang Digital to dig into why so many brands are seeing a sharp drop in organic search traffic and, more importantly, what they can do about it. 🎧 Listen here - https://lnkd.in/dDKaMY-Y 📖 Subscribe to the IMP newsletter - https://lnkd.in/dDfE2f2W 🤝 IAPI event details - https://lnkd.in/d5aVACGR The Irish Marketing Podcast is powered by Irish Marketing Journal (IMJ) and Tinpot Productions

A timely perspective from Robin Bonn on the realities of collaboration within modern agency groups. Ahead of his first visit to Ireland with Iapi next week, this episode offers a valuable lens on the cultural dynamics shaping agency performance today. 🎧 Listen below & get tickets to our event on June 10th: https://lnkd.in/dNddrTB6
Multi-disciplinary agency groups don't have a capability problem. They have a collaboration problem. The latest episode of The Immortal Life of Agencies features Måns Jacobsson Hosk, Co-CEO of Eidra – a business that began when five independent companies decided they could solve bigger client problems if they came together. Today, that collective spans strategy, creativity, technology, AI and consulting, with 1500 people across Europe and the US. But the most interesting lesson isn't the structure. It's how Måns – alongside Mattias Olofsson and Thomas Kurppa – makes it work. What you'll learn in this episode: 🔄 Why integration is a cultural challenge before it's an operational one 🤝 Their ‘bring a friend’ approach to cross-selling 🧠 Why T-shaped talent becomes more valuable as complexity increases 🏗️ How to combine specialist expertise without creating silos Given that agency groups are increasingly showing up as a single entities – the so-called ‘branded house’ – while others believe in the multi-branded ‘house of brands’, Eidra represent a middle ground where collaboration is driven by culture. They focus on collaboration, curiosity and helping clients solve the problem they actually have, not just the one they asked about. 🎧 Episode link: https://buff.ly/OI5QNXZ ✅ Help us reach more people – please hit ‘Repost’ - - - - - - - - The Immortal Life of Agencies – weekly conversations with optimistic leaders 🎧 Apple Podcasts: https://buff.ly/kCCCCj0 🎧 Spotify: https://buff.ly/6gX3c9P 🎧 Amazon Music: https://buff.ly/3SIYDyd #TILOA #underdifferentiated #marketofone
