About us
Hull Services has long had a reputation for providing leading edge child, youth, and family mental health services. We work with children, youth and families who have experienced significant types of challenges. Hull offers them an opportunity to seek well-being and happiness, with a focus on mental health. Hull’s vision is for resilient young people and families to thrive within communities that support their mental health and well-being. What guides our work every day is a belief in the dignity, wellness and worth of all. This combined with a commitment to integrity, excellence, collaboration, trust and accountability. At Hull, our employees are our strength. The level of continuous training our staff receive and their passion and commitment to excellence is what sets Hull apart as a leader in child and youth mental health. Our founder, and continuing inspiration, William Roper Hull, was an entrepreneur, visionary and philanthropist. His contributions to Calgary, the province of Alberta and Western Canada left a blueprint of good citizenship for legions of others to emulate. In 1883 he said of Calgary, “There will be a city of at least 25,000. I see houses, schools, shops and churches and everything one needs for a happy life and I will help to build it.”

Group Involved Volunteering (GIV Days) with Hull Services are some of our most favourite days of the year! They bring people together, promote civic and community responsibility, and helps provide important work on projects across our Agency. Last year, Strathcona Resources Ltd. sent nearly 30 people to help with outdoor cleanup. and We spoke with Adrienne at Strathcona to hear about the impact their GIV Day had not only on Hull, but also their employees: “Volunteering opportunities have encouraged direct engagement between our employees and Hull Services. These experiences help raise awareness within our teams about your organization and your mission and bring greater attention to the importance of supporting youth and family mental health in our community.” Click here to read their Q&A and impact that their GIV Days have at Hull: https://lnkd.in/gvmZ_RqR

Earlier this year we connected with one of our dedicated volunteers, Jack Mai, to hear why he volunteers with Hull and the impact that giving his time has for Hull. “An hour of volunteering is all it takes to see major life-changing impact and that experience is truly rewarding.” 🥲 We’re so thankful for volunteers like Jack.
