Getting ready to scale, and the future looks promising!
GreenLIB operates Refinement-as-a-service (RaaS): a patent-pending pre-treatment process that returns on-spec material in days. Customers pay a capacity fee and a per-ton fee. We don’t take title and don’t price metals. Our footprint is modular and co-locatable. Units go near the feed—or on your site—reducing logistics and paperwork. The flow uses a controlled thermal step plus water-based cleaning to lower fluorine, moisture, and foil fines. Lithium and graphite are recovered early, leaving a high-grade Ni/Co concentrate. Every lot ships with a COA and traceable data. Who we serve: black-mass producers, refiners/smelters, OEMs/3PLs.

Excited to share that Ajay Kochhar is joining GreenLIB as an advisor! Ajay has been at the forefront of shaping North America’s battery recycling industry, and his experience comes at the perfect time as we move from pilot to commercial scale. His perspective will be key as we strengthen partnerships and expand our footprint across the battery value chain. Thrilled to have him on board - onward and upward.
GreenLIB x Kingston Process Metallurgy Inc. (KPM): A New Model for Scaling Deep Tech We’d like to announce a Commercialization Transition Agency (CTA) agreement with KPM — one of Canada’s top integrated process scale-up firms. This established KPM as the technical resource on scaling the project. Why it matters: - Most deep tech startups often die trying to scale. The lab works, but the factory doesn’t. - Our model fixes that: lab → pilot → demo → commercial, scaling with a proven partner who understands economics as much as process. - Aligned incentives: We keep 100% of our IP; KPM only wins if we do. - Investor upside: Technical rigor + industrial execution = faster, lower-risk path to commercialization. This partnership doesn’t just de-risk GreenLIB — it demonstrates how deep tech can scale capital efficiently without surrendering equity, IP, or control. We believe this is the playbook for the next generation of deep tech: fast, focused, founder-led, and aligned with investors from day one.
We’ve rebranded. GreenLIB.com is now live. The new identity reflects where we’re heading: a sharper focus on pre-treatment innovation in lithium-ion battery recycling and building solutions that scale with the industry’s needs. Same mission, clearer direction. Check it out → https://www.greenlib.com
Starting August 1, 2025, China will allow cross-border black mass trade—but only if it’s clean. This isn’t just bureaucracy. It’s a quality revolution—and a wake-up call. At GreenLIB, we’ve built our process for this moment: - Low-fluorine, high-purity output - Safer hydromet downstream - International compliance baked in If you’re scaling circular battery systems, let’s connect. #BatteryRecycling #CircularEconomy #BlackMass #CleanTech #GreenLIB
Hydrofluoric acid (HF) is often released when recycling batteries - corrosive, toxic, invisible. It comes from common electrolyte salts like LiPF6. Safety in recycling starts with pre-treatment. #BatteryHazards #BatteryRecycling
Facing rollback fears around 45X/30D tax credits, manufacturers are hedging: • Short-term (2-3yr) tax credit contracts • Parent indemnity over insurance • Flexible contract manufacturing setups • Monetizing credits now to reduce exposure In Q1 2025 alone, $8B in clean energy projects were downsized or canceled. Agility is no longer optional—it’s a survival tactic. What strategy are you using to future-proof operations?
PVDF: A fluorinated binder in most LIBs. Great for energy density, terrible for the environment. We need safer materials and smarter ways to remove them. That’s what pre-treatment is all about. #BatteryRecycling #PFAS
